One would think that after the last Republican convention some enterprising individual would be printing a program well in advance of the first primary.

Bernie leads the pack in betting at Bovada.

Beto to announce tomorrow. He'll siphon more from Harris and Biden while the Bern benefits in all places but TX, just my prediction.

UPDATE: to be fair, this likely was taken at the beginning. I've since seen photos elsewhere online that show people lined up outside to see her.

Kos puts out a poll every week, the MSM picks it up and uses it as a legitimate non-scientific poll. Bernie crushes it everytime. Today Daily Kos made a huge ad/page for Beto for his announcement and launched a new poll

What does “legitimate non-scientific” poll mean?

MSM uses it frequently (Chuck Todd, Meet The Press, MSNBC, CNN, et al) so they must consider it worthy if they're putting on air.

Definitely not scientific and purely trash. I just find it hilarious that Bernie by far wins outright and Kos keeps trying to change the parameters but nothing works.

Bernie is unionizing his campaign. First ever to do so. This was one of the (rare and few) criticisms I had - you need to walk the walk which he did on just about everything but that.

Post Beto announcement. This is just in Wisconsin. Also Klobuchar's backyard. She's gotta be one of the first to drop out, if not the first. This poll was conducted entirely upon landlines. How many 18-29 year olds do you think have a landline much less answer one if they did?

Nick - Honest question. If Bernie loses the primary, will you still support the Dem nominee? Your commentary on here suggests a slight chance that you'll simply sit it out. All of these names are better than the porn star president, no?

Whatever would make you think that? Any true Bernie supporter would support whomever is closest to his ideals, even if it's 100,000 leagues away it's better than 100,000,000 leagues away like Trump is.

My commentary is nothing but truth. No slander, no lies, just the pure, unfiltered truth. And for many, the truth hurts.

Beto, Biden, Harris, Gillibrand, Klobuchar, they all would be a disaster - a continuation of pay-to-play politics, more genocide and regime changes - a renewed vow to devastate many peoples across the globe for profits but they would all be a much much much better option than Trump.

One of hundreds of examples of the good 'ol USA.. started by a Democrat in the White House and perpetuated by a Republican. On March 16th 1968 the US raped and killed over 500 unarmed Vietnamese citizens in a place called My Lai. Obama brought us even worse (overall) in Yemen.

Honest question to anyone: Do you honestly think any of the other contenders from either party, would work to stop colonialism, to stop funding coups and interfering with foreign governments for profit perpetually? Let us not forget Hillary praised Henry Kissinger, a man who started twice the amount of genocides that Adolf Hitler did.

Meanwhile, Bernie stays on message, focused only on his platform, and the only person he is attacking is Trump - and no one else - all the while others still accuse him of sabatoge.

    From Bernie's campaign:

    Sisters and Brothers -

In just a moment, we are going to ask you to make a donation to our campaign for president. We hope you’ll give us a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important.

Here is the truth: this morning, Beto O’Rourke announced that he raised more money than us on the first day of his presidential campaign.

The good news is, we more than likely had a lot more individual donations than he did.

But what that means is if we are going to avoid getting outspent, it’s going to take lots and lots of people making individual donations to catch up. We already have that… but we have to pick up the pace.

And that’s especially important with the first official FEC fundraising deadline coming up. So here’s the part where we ask:

Can you make a $3 donation to our campaign for president ahead of our first official FEC fundraising deadline? This is important. We just can’t afford to get outspent dramatically in this race.

This first FEC report is going to send a message about who is the best candidate to beat Trump. So we’re looking to report as many individual donations as we possibly can. Each one matters. A lot. So please chip in today.

    All our best,

    Team Bernie

    ------

Campaign itself acknowledges it likely was people-powered and it won't go into further speculation. April 15th the reports will be public and we'll see where the money came from, for all campaigns.

10 new women hires of varying backgrounds that offer a ton of experience:

    • René Spellman, deputy campaign manager, a Bernie 2016 alumna who has also worked in the Obama White House
    • Sanalilia Mejia, political director, a union organizer who was honored by President Obama as a "Champion of Change"
    • Sarah Badawi, deputy political director, previously the legislative affairs director for the Progressive Change Campaign Committee
    • Claire Sandberg, national organizing director, a Bernie 2016 alumna and previously deputy campaign manager for Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan
    • Dr. Heather Gautney, deputy director of policy, formerly a senior policy advisor on the U.S. Senate Budget Committee and a researcher for Bernie 2016
    • Arianna Jones, communications director, a Bernie 2016 alumna with experience leading media strategy for progressive clients
    • Sarah Ford, deputy communications director, a Bernie 2016 alumna who served as the communications director for Cynthia Nixon's 2018 gubernatorial campaign in New York
    • Briahna Joy Gray, national press secretary, a former attorney and senior politics editor at The Intercept
    • Georgia Parke, senior social media strategist, who worked in Sen. Sanders' Senate office since 2016
    • Robin Curran, digital fundraising director, formerly email director at the Democratic National Committee.
This may not mean much to anyone but just remember this time last year if was mostly white people from Vermont and consultants. These people come from large progressive organizations, other campaigns, Obama, DNC, etc.

Before he could talk all he wants about inclusion and equality all he wanted but now the campaign itself is inclusive and diverse (and unionized now)

In another campaign first, Bernie's campaign is the first to promise to offset carbon emissions. He's going to be jet setting around the country while campaigning on climate change, only makes sense.

Bernie had massive rally's in San Diego, LA and SF over the weekend. All with overflow crowds. 17k alone in SF, just under that in a LA and SD was a tiny park with a capacity of under 3k.

I find it funny that the DNC moved up the CA primary to Super Tuesday (it was always one of the last ones... held in late June) because Harris is from there. Bernie is turning crowds in single venues that has more supporters than other candidates in their entirety and this may help him in the end - if wins that state he in addition to the early ones, the prmaries would be over in March.

A new emerson poll in Iowa has him virutally tied with Biden now - he jumped several points. What's interesting is that Beto dropped a point, Harris plummeted by 8 and Mayor Pete went from 0 to 11 surpassing those two.

It is worthy to note that the sample size was tiny, and Pete was consistently listed first on everything which apparently gives that person a bump, we shall see if this is an outlier.

    Is Harris really tanking?
Did Beto really lose steam and the post-announcement bump is over?
    Is Pete really gaining steam?

I find it hard to believe that Pete is gaining steam. I've still never heard this guy's voice. I've only ever heard of him on this board. Now, I've read about him since hearing of him here and he does seem like a guy who could make good inroads during the 2020 campaign, but I can't imagine him being a player at all.

I mean, he isn't even in your debate photo.

This isn't a great sign for Beto. He's been standing on counters in Iowa for weeks.

There's a recent photo of him in Nevada I wanna say it is, with a small group of people standing around outside and he's kneeling on top of a car. No joke.

It also has came to light that a lot of those individual donors "on the first day" were collected from FB advertisements ever since he lost to Ted Cruz.

Another method in the gaslighting attempt to prop him up. Big props, stuff like that works.

About 74k people in attendance in 12 rallies in 7 states. To contrast this, Gillibrand recently had a rally outside of Trump Tower of all places, about 100 people were there an hour before it started and about 40 of them were reporters.

I just bought the series of books. Dune is basically LoTR but in sci-fi. The 'universe' is so rich.

They are doing a reboot of Dune and hopefully it's successful so they can do a full series b/c you can't do it all in one film.

A new poll for AL has Biden way ahead at 42% with Bernie in second at 13%. This is on Super Tuesday and imagine Bernie getting delegates (you need 15%) - less than Biden - but cleaning up CA, VT, CO, MA, and others. Him getting delegates in AL in a crowded field would be a coup.
