Off Topic KU Soccer in KC today

The ladies play West Virgina in the quarterfinals at 5:15 at the KC Current Stadium. They've been on a roll and are on a 5 game win streak. Hopefully the rain holds off, but at least there's a roof. Tickets are $10 + fees. Crummy the weather has hit out so poorly for the tournament so far because would be nice to keep the event in KC. Game is also on ESPN+.

Five-Star Darryn Peterson Set To Announce Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the big day for Darryn Peterson, the 6-foot-5, 195- guard from Prolific Prep in Napa, Calif.

Down to Kansas, Kansas State, Ohio State and USC, Peterson, the No. 3 ranked player in the class, will announce his decision at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT. The decision will be made live at Sports CBS HQ.

Now, there isn't a player in this class that is more important to the Kansas staff and there isn't an a player in this class that the Kansas staff recruited any harder.

I put my FutureCast in for Peterson to commit to Kansas a few weeks ago and it I don’t intend to change that FutureCast.

I know Peterson and his dad absolutely love Kansas, the coaching staff, the longevity of Coach Self, and the vision they have for the top ranked shooting guard in the class.

Recruiting Update The latest thoughts on recruiting, updates- Oct. 31

We are getting to the time the staff is working with recruits to set visits that will start as soon as the Colorado game.

First off I am going to start with wide receiver Bryson Hayes. I've been in communication with Hayes and I want to let the process play out and see where it goes. Our discussion was off the record and his focus is on the playoffs that start this week. Before Hayes committed to Nebraska, I felt KU did the best job recruiting him. But he chose Nebraska and we will have to see how things turn out.

Chandavian Bradley confirmed to me last night he will take a visit to KU for the Colorado game. Coming out of Platte City (Mo.) in 2022 he was a four-star recruit and one of the top-rated DE in the country. When I interviewed him in high school he said he was a KU fan growing up. It is believed the two teams who could be at the top of his list are KU and Oklahoma State. But I think there are going to be more teams get in the mix. This is about the time staffs start putting together their final evaluations and determine whether they need to recruit juco recruits. If schools want to pursue a DE he will be on their radar. He is currently rated the 8th best overall juco prospect in the country and the #2 rush end.

Four-star wide receiver and dual-sport athlete Jayden Nickens will join Bradley at the Colorado game for an official visit. Nickens wants to play football and basketball in college and Kansas is one of the schools that will give him that opportunity. Nickens started his high school career in Oklahoma. He played at Millwood High and transferred to Douglass. He committed to Oklahoma, but the word is they didn't want him to play basketball. He decommitted from Oklahoma last spring. Shortly after that he announced he was transferring to Sierra Canyon to play for one of the top high school programs in the country. KU WR coach Terry Samuel has been handling the recruiting. KU offered last month.

I find it hard to believe there aren't more programs willing to let him play both sports, but that could help KU. Another school that has entered the mix is Arizona State, where a source told me he will visit on Nov. 9 when they play UCF. Arizona State recently lost a WR commit so they are pushing hard. They are also pursuing Cal commit Jae'on Young who was considering KU. A source at Sierra Canyon told said they believe KU is in the lead but we need to wait and see how the visit to ASU goes and who else may come in the picture.

Tight end commit Joeseph Skipworth took an official visit to Mississippi State. Since the visit he has kept all info in house and not given many hints. I expect we could get more clarity soon because OC/TE coach Jeff Grimes will visit Florida this weekend and watch Skipworth play.

I know the staff is pushing to get visitors lined up for the last two games at Arrowhead against Iowa State and Colorado. They are expecting good crowds for the final games and both teams have reasons for a big draw.

Grimes balance vs AK

Grimes seems to have an almost impulsive obsession to call an identical number of passing and running plays in the game- which he did in the TCU and Illinois games, when- especially TCU- you'd expect a much bigger running percentage of plays. He's mentioned several times in press conferences how important balance is.

One thing that was great with AK is he found something that worked he would push on that repeatedly. One game we hardly passed at all and the next we'd pass all game long. See UCF last year where we passed 12 times to 55 rushes, followed by OSU game with 34 passes. If the other team had a weakness, AK was like "screw balance, we are attacking that" Z was the same in the bowl game.

Grimes seems to have a formula in his head... "I've run two straight times, I need to pass to balance the calls." It almost feels like balance for the sake of balance and not situational play calling.

When Trump’s lips are moving, he’s lying about something.

Stirring bull shit. Trump says Presidents must have total immunity from prosecution during their terms. But is campaigning on a pledge to prosecute Biden. Trump says he never told his MAGA worshipers in 2016 to “lock her up” when referring to Hilary Clinton. And then was shown the video of him saying those words. His outrage about our system of justice will no doubt disappear when Hunter Biden is convicted in the current federal criminal case. This case has a special prosecutor. Trump says now in his cases those special prosecutors do not have any authority and their cases should be thrown out by federal judges. The bastard never ceases to amaze.

The corrupt Democrat party proves again that it's the party of Voter Fraud!

The whole world knows that there was massive voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election by the largest criminal organization in the U.S-- the Democrat party.
The Democrat party knows that they are losing formerly stupid voters and so they do what they've always done--- CHEAT to win elections?
They know voting fraud top to bottom since they've had 100+ years of elections to get it right. They don't have a candidate worth a crap so what is left to do? Answer: What they have always done---- Democrat Voter Fraud to steal another election away from the Thinking Americans in this country--- Trump supporters!
