I had my meniscus cleaned up and ACL done (quad tendon graft) on Tuesday. there is more sleep in Bangkok at 2am than what I have going on right now. The back and hip spasms are pissing me off, when I finally get comfortable this brace bangs against my other leg or i have to take a piss. First PT was ok, never took oxy in my life but did before PT. 5mg just made me tired so no more planned.
I know there are plenty of battle axes on this board that have been under the knife plenty. Would love to hear anyone's ACL recovery stories as a >40yo and when you got sleep. Any surgical stories for that matter.
Fun story, nurse that took care of me in preop and PACU used to work for me and had a crush on me about 15yr ago. She's got some terrible tats and very 'worn' at this point now. I woke up and told my wife that she used to have the hots for me...in front of the nurse. My wife wasn't thrilled to hear that since the nurse got me dressed before my wife got to pacu. Maybe I have d!ck pics floating around now. I followed that up with trying to convince both of them the graham crackers I was eating tasted like filet.
