What comes next for Bill Self and Kansas on the recruiting trail?

During the early signing period, Kansas signed one of the top recruiting classes. When all was said and done, Self and his staff couldn't have been any happier with the additions of Darryn Peterson, Bryson Tiller, and Samin Calderon. In fact, when recently asked about KU's 2025 recruiting class, Self said that Kansas signed "three pros" last week. Now that the dust has settled on KU's three-man class, what happens next for Bill Self and the Jayhawks?

At this time, I don't expect Self to add any additional high school prospects in the spring. I think when the time comes, Self and his staff will be extremely aggressive in recruiting the transfer portal and find some guys who can step in and provide an immediate impact. Kansas, without question, will have quite a few bodies to replace and the staff will look to replace those guys via the transfer portal. Obviously, I don't have any names right now, but when the time comes, the list of guys in the portal will likely be somewhat long and impressive.

Trump's All-Star Cabinet taking shape!

OMG! What an amazing group of 100% qualified pro-America patriots who will hit the ground running on Day 1 to :
Make America Great Again!"

Thank you again to the amazing Donald Trump and my fellow Thinking Americans for making all this happen!

Keep in mind that NO ONE in the POS open-borders Biden cabinet was 1. Pro-America 2. Qualified or 3. Patriotic
Here are just a few of the far-Left racists, anti-Semite clowns who should never have set one foot in any presidential cabinet:
Heels-up Kamala, Blinken, Garland, Austin, Buttigieg, Mayorkas and many more. They are all shameful disgraces, but some, like Blinken, Garland and Mayorkes are criminals and should be behind bars for what they’ve done to this country.
That’s what we got when STUPID leftists elected THE worst president in U.S history!

Welcome to the New "Red" America where America and Americans are finally put first instead of last! "All Star" Cabinet is 100% accurate, although I wish that Mike Pompeo was included. Way too much talent and intelligence for Pompeo to be sitting at home.
I would even make a place in the Attorney General's Office for "The Great One" Mark Levin. He served admirably in that capacity in the Reagan Administration and he deserves this honor.

Hard to pick a favorite: Vance, Wiles, Waltz, Stefanik, Musk, Zelfin, Miller, Homan....

Football Thoughts Few more thoughts after watching Colorado

Went back and watched their game against UCF. I thought this would be a game they would lose. UCF is talented and was playing at home. When they played UCF was 3-0 and CU was 3-1.

- They did give Sanders some trouble with the blitzing. The issue when you blitz Colorado is they always seem to have a WR on a short crossing route. That has to be defended because when Sanders sees pressure he goes there. They got UCF in a few situations but then the UCF safeties started reacting better and stopped them short a couple times.

- I can't tell you how many times Sanders just floats it in the air and Hunter makes plays. I have to believe Cobee and Mello can defend that pass. Some of those throws are close to getting picked.

- This will be the secondary's biggest test and it won't be close. Colorado is fast all over the field at receiver. That is a major concern. There isn't just Hunter they 3-4 other guys who are really good in the open field.

- Colorado won the game but UCF moved the ball. They had 450 yards offense and KJ Jefferson threw for 285. CU sold out to stop the UCF run game. Jefferson is not a great thrower and he had some success.

- I think there are yards to be had on CU's defense but you have to be smart. They are very aggressive. Their DE are like they are shot out of a cannon, but to me, they get out of their lanes a lot. The LB will bite on play-action often. They want to make plays but I think they can get out of position.

- Against UCF they had 13 TFL and 5 sacks, but they sellout. With all the eye-candy and different things KU does on offense I think they can get CU out of position.

- I thought the BYU game would be high scoring but not as high as many predicted. I don't see any way the winner of this game is at least in the 30's or higher. If it isn't that means there are a lot of turnovers.

- UCF played a lot of cover two, but CU found their way into the open areas a lot. I think KU will have to do some version of zone. There is no way KU can cover the CU WR playing man. No way, no how. These CU WR will run fly past and around the KU DB's.

Shooting..

Hopefully they get their legs under them for the Duke game. We got plenty of good shots but went 6-25 from three and missed quite a few free throws too. They are still thinking a little too much and you can tell that the rythym isn't quite there.

I still think we will be an above average 3 point shooting team in the end, especially when the shots start to fall for Mayo..

For those that bet on CFB.

Tulane to make the CFP sitting out there at 5-1 or higher at most shops.

They're -280 to beat Army. Boise will have a DOG FIGHT on their hands with UNLV 2.0. They should have lost the first time.

And that's completely ignoring the somewhat realistic likelihood that a 3 loss big 12 champ is ranked behind Tulane come selection sunday. (BYU and colorado are losing this week and Tulane is right behind them)

Game Ticket & Parking Pass Exchange and Gameday Information Thread - CU (2:30 pm kickoff on 11/23/2024)

It just clicked that I had not made this thread yet. Like I woke up wondering why I had not seen anyone post about their tickets yet. Better late than never.

Instead of having multiple individual threads, let's attempt to have a one thread shop for game tickets and parking passes.

To those of you who want to type as few words as possible, here are some simple acronyms.
  • ISO = In Search Of
  • LTB = Looking To Buy
  • LTS = Looking To Sell
  • WTG = Willing To Give
If you post in this thread and actually fulfill your sell or acquisition, come back here and edit your post so that future posters know that your original post is not applicable.

Trump

Trump really must have done well in the Town Hall last night, otherwise the little guys on here would be chirping. The interviewer was an embarrassment.

Can anyone imagine Biden being interviewed like this? First, it would be disrespectful, as it was with President Trump. He would also be humiliated because he couldn’t answer any questions coherently. This is why he is protected press.

Top Kansas Prospect Jaliya Davis Signs with Kansas Women’s Basketball

LAWRENCE, Kan. –
Jaliya Davis, the top high school prospect in the state of Kansas, has signed to play at Kansas, KU head coach Brandon Schneider announced Wednesday.

A 6-2 forward from Overland Park, Kansas, Davis is rated a five-star prospect by ESPNW and the No. 17 recruit in the country. She also holds a four-star rating as the No. 24 prospect in the class by 247Sports. Last week, Davis was one of 50 prep seniors named to the Naismith Trophy Girls High School Player of the Year Watch List.

“We are elated that Jaliya made the decision to stay home and become a Jayhawk,” Schneider said. “She has been one of the top-ranked players in the country for many years. Jaliya is a long and extremely athletic forward. She is a dominant rebounder and a matchup issue on the offensive end. She can post, she can attack off the bounce and she can stretch it to the three-point line. Her versatility carries over to the defensive end as her quickness will allow her to guard multiple positions at our level. Jaliya Davis will impact Kansas Women’s Basketball immediately.”

Davis is entering her senior season at Blue Valley North High School, where she has helped the Mustangs to a 40-9 record over the past two seasons. Davis is a two-time all-state selection, and she was named the 2023-24 Kansas MaxPreps Player of the Year. Last season, she led Blue Valley North HS to a 20-5 record and a third-place finish in the Class 6A State Tournament. Davis was named the Sports in Kansas 6A Girls Basketball Player of the Year after averaging 19.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.

A prolific scorer, Davis set Blue Valley North’s single season scoring record with 463 points as a sophomore, then topped that mark last year with 495 points. Davis enters her senior season with 1,115 career points and she is on pace to become the school’s all-time leading scorer. Last season, she had nine games of scoring 25 or more points. As a sophomore, Davis helped the Mustangs claim the Class 6A State Championship.

Davis is the third KU signee for the 2025-26 season, joining guard Libby Fandel and forward Tatyonna Brown, who signed with the Jayhawks last week.

Kansas Women’s Basketball Nov. 2024 Signees

Tatyonna Brown – 6-2, F, Colorado Springs, Colo (Air Academy HS)

Jaliya Davis – 6-2, F, Leawood, Kan. (Blue Valley North HS)

Libby Fandel – 6-1, G, Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Xavier HS)
