I think there is a lot still going on with high school recruiting at the DB spot.

I have put in a forecast for Brian Dilworth from Florida. He left this morning with the parents. I do not believe he committed but I feel good about the chances.

I still think the recruiting could be an ongoing thing with the defensive back spots. The key is also depending if Louisville presses for a visit.

They want to hire June Jones but aren't coming up with the right plan for him. Sounds like the fan base wants Jones but the AD has some weird succession plan in place that Jones isn't agreeing to. They are going to have to either change the plan or find another coach.

I've taken a lot of heat regarding this group because I've been pretty clear that I just don't think they're tough enough. And, mostly, I've been right about that.

Here's what I will say, though. In yesterday's second half they came out and played hard and tough in a way that I don't recall seeing this team ever really play.

Here's my hope. That that sinks in. That the light has come on and they realize just how hard and tough they have to be. That's it's not just a one off.

So often you can point to a moment when things changed and a corner was turned.

The 2nd half vs Kansas State after they played a very timid, soft 1st half (yes i know Pack went off but part of that was being very comfortable) might just be that moment.

TBD....fingers crossed.....

How could that possibly be a two shot foul. Feet were clearly behind the line when he went up. Could they have called it “after the shot” even tho he was coming down from a jump shot?

I just want to take a quick timeout from watching the portal and the Harbaugh watch to express my gratitude to all you (especially @JK ) for the endless moments of laughter and insight I get from the Slant. It is truly a joy to have found others who live and die with Jayhawk football. Happy birthday to me!

Everybody is talking about Och, Braun, Wilson and D Mac, but we don't win that game if Harris doesn't cover Pack like a blanket in the second half. Pack still got some points, but he didn't kill us like he did in the first half.

Never gets old. I feel like in the coming season we'll be back on the cusp like we were with this squad.
