Spent time yesterday tracking down information. Getting news on portal players is tough because some don't like to put out information. I also know with portal news a lot of schools are trying to keep that information down.
Also what we are seeing more is agents representing the players can put out what best helps their client.
-----------
Right now I think we are headed mainly to portal news and the high school recruiting season looks to be over. A player can always come out of nowhere but I'm not expecting it.
The one high school player who remains on the board is Larry Porter IV from Raytown. He's a receiver I really like on tape and it is down to KU and KSU. KU has been recruiting him the longest and he recently took official visits to both schools.
Porter is not going to announce until signing day, but I get the feel Kansas State is in the lead. That's just my early instinct and I could be wrong, but I think KSU is slightly trending right now.
-----------
Northwest Missouri State DE Langden Kitchen told me he is talking with Taiwo Onatolu about setting a visit. Kitchen recently picked up his first Power Four offers from Cal, KU and Iowa State. He visited Iowa for the Nebraska game but I have not confirmed if Iowa offered him.
He will have two years left and a redshirt. This season he had 8.5 TFL and 5.5 sacks and can play several spots on the line. At 6-foot-6, 270 I thought he would be more of an inside but he plays on the edge for NWMSU.
----------
Linebacker Kyle Ferm from Citrus College in California picked up an offer from KU. Some of his recent offers include Western Michigan, San Diego State, New Mexico and Liberty.
Ferm told me yesterday he has been talking with Chris Simpson and plans to visit KU in mid December.
----------
Another possible visitor is Isaiah Reed from Brown University.
Reed told me has been speaking with people on staff about a visit. He's been getting several offers and recently visited Texas Tech. He picked up offers from Houston, UCF, West Virginia, Baylor and Georgia Tech as well.
