Why the proposed penalties are asinine

We are being penalized for something that happened in the past. And this offense is something that is wide spread. During the period in question and in the past there are many schools committing many offenses because the NCAA has allowed colleges to become minor leagues, There are "phony" curriculum along with weak eligibility rules. But flash forward to today. The NCAA is accepting NIL. In essence the kids are now getting "paid" via a wealth of "Sam Giberts". KU is being penalized for something that is now legal. IN the case of KU the athlete lost what would have been the best year of his career, and KU lost a valuable player. Call it square. We did not win the NCAA post season fund raiser, better know as March Madness. Further more the NIL will create a bunch of "semi-pro athletes on campus. Remember the AAU teams of yore? They were considered amateurs because they were employees. Now today? We are camouflaging the sins of the past. The NCAA should forget the past because we are involved with approving the sin. We now have the ugly pig, but the lipstick has now been approved.

Off Topic Rivals/Yahoo help desk

Just a quick note, I’ve been having an ongoing problem with my user name(s) Silas_Buddy and Silasbuddy since 2014 and the emails attached to the accounts. This December another “lock out” occurred and I decided to keep pestering the help desk until it was resolved and not the quick fixes I had settled on since 2014. It’s taken almost 3 weeks of “chat” sessions and emails, but they finally fixed the problem. Without boring you with the details, I can not say how happy I am with the service and support from the help desk, they kept asking me if I was satisfied a fix and I would add another request or tweak. It took time, granted, and they kept asking for patience which I gave them. I’m not sure how other message board help desks are, but Rivals/Yahoo is top notch. I am sure I was part of the problem by not fixing the dual names back in 2014 which only compounded the problem by 2022. Thanks again help desk, I will not name names as I dealt with numerous individuals.

I would have to say that ISU got the better transfer between the 2 schools.

Now if JCL can be that spot up shooter that nails every shot from behind arc then I might change my mind. Until then…

Now as far as the whole team goes, what do y'all think??

Off Topic Construction on Campus

Over the years, I've seen many complaints about building designs around campus (Such as the business school) and I've always been meh on it as they've looked good to me.. That changes when you're building on Jayhawk Blvd for me.

Is there a reason why we can't build anything traditional on campus anymore? As a "North Entrance" to the campus, it looks nice now but how is this going to look in 20-30 years? I just hate the idea of adding potential eye sores on the boulevard..

What does it say about the Republican Party that Ron DeSantis has to lie about catching Covid?

Ron DeSantis very clearly got Covid, disappeared for two weeks, and then re-emerged and can barely breathe or speak.

How did the Republican Party get to a place where the favored nominee for POTUS, oh yeah except Trump, cannot publicly just say he got Covid because his insane base thinks it’s a hoax or whatever?

It’s an absolute embarrassment to be a modern day Republican. You shouldn’t even be allowed to drive a car if you vote Republican because your judgment is so awful.
