At least the Jayhawks had KJ Adams Jr. back from a shoulder injury. He had sat out the previous three games, and the senior forward made a couple of important plays down the stretch to help Kansas avoid its third home loss of the season.

"He was huge -- somebody we definitely needed. He has so much heart," Mayo said. "He brings an energy to our team that's hard to find in somebody else. He's very gritty and that's a guy we need for the rest of the year."

I thought today might have been the best from top to bottom of the camps.

I was watching Anthony Coellner throw and I thought he looked good. The QB made the trip from Indiana and his father Chad played football at KU. Another QB that looked good was Mason West from Edina, MN.

Ronelle Johnson, a DE from Blue Springs is the real deal and he picked up an offer from KU after the camp. Another DL prospect that stood out was Krew Jones from Utah. This kid will have his pick of offers. He is a 2027 prospect and I think he will be a beast.

Also on the DL Nehemiah Kolone looked good along with Hans Pedersen from Minnesota. I know Kolone got an offer after camp.

Sam Simmons from Olathe North was one of the better skill players.

Jack Utz, who already holds a KU offer, was there. I thought he was head and shoulders the best TE of the group. I am going over some notes and these are the things off the top of my head.
