Bijan Robinson out for the year

One thing that hasn't been discussed at all on the board after Saturday that I have seen was what a potential turning point in the game it was when Robinson got hurt for them. That dude is a studcow. Dislocated elbow in the third quarter on Saturday, out for the rest of the year, apparently.

Also, giving kudos to Texas players--Xavier Worthy is a total freak show. As a Michigan fan, it hurts to think about what that receiving group would look like if he hadn't gotten his release from his LOI and if Ronnie Bell hadn't gotten hurt, too. Would be hard to compete with nationally with those two in the mix.

KU adidas uniforms

what do you guys think of adidas using this weekends uniforms as a template to become our regular uniforms? like a blue version maybe. i personally am not a fan of our current uniforms i think the grey shiny numbers on the blue uniforms make it hard to see on TV & the whites are just meh. i just think it’s boring. im just interested to hear some ideas

Stan Weber

Suggested any KU fan go back and watch KU chase down Deuce Vaughan on the 80 yarder. Excellent effort from everyone in a red jersey. Rich nearly caught him. Stuckey vs La Tech anybody?
He also said kstate is lethal when they go empty backfield sets with Deuce in the slot. Said Ku brought a free blitzing linebacker on the play and had a clean shot on Skylar Thompson. Said kstate never ran that formation the rest of the game.
That’s coaching and it’s not on the scoreboard.
Also complimented Lance in how he handled the win at Texas. Said that’s the look of a coach who expects to win and that a guy like that changes a culture. Lance didn’t look giddy. I bet a part of him was pissed at the punt and punt coverage 10 minutes earlier.

News and Notes Notes from Lance Leipold PC- TCU week

Jared Casey story going nationally and Leipold thinks it is great.

Hoping Grimm can make the trip. Huggins been out and now Roe and now Fairchild is down. Credits Kotelnicki for having Casey ready.

Both QB practiced they will continue to work through it. Lot of talks with Jalon's parents. Told the family would respect their decision.

Daniels sees the momentum and he wants to play.

Won't discuss Bean's overall health.

On the defenses performance was asked about getting TOs but also giving up 56 points. Said giving up the points is still a balancing act. Texas has an explosive offense.

Felt they kept good composure through the game.

If they will start Jalon "he will play." But won't announce him as the starter.

If Daniels burns a year can also get one back later if that comes up.

Positive interactions with Daniels family.

In camp when Daniels had to be shut down it put him behind.

Leipold said the officials told him to stay back after the game and Leipold was asking them why "the game is over what's the difference."

Said he has seen good reaction from recruits but they don't want to rest just on one game.

Moron Joe's Unconstitutional Mandates

... appears to be dead in the water. No surprise at all.

Of course it's really not Moron Joe's mandate as Joe doesn't have the cognition to fix his own breakfast. He's just the front man--- the useful idiot for the DNC. It's his puppet masters' mandate.... the corrupt Democrat Marxist machine.
The Democrats hate our Constitution because it limits the only thing they care about--- POWER. Racist Obama said he didn't have the constitutional power to do certain things and he went right ahead and did them anyway.

Today's radical Democrat leaders and their media clearly see the big Red Wave is coming and they're trying to ram as much far-left agenda down our throats while they can. The unconstitutional mandates are just one thing that thinking Americans are pushing back on.

We're taking our country back one law suit and one vote at a time. Go Big Red!

Agbaji & Groves Earn Season's First Men's Basketball Honors

Kansas' Ochai Agbaji (player) and Oklahoma's Tanner Groves (newcomer) picked up the season's first Big 12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week awards after leading their teams to a 2-0 start. The honor is the second for Agbaji in his career.

Agbaji opened the season scoring a career-high 29 points in Kansas' 87-74 win against Michigan State in the Champions Classic at Madison Square Garden. The Kansas City, Missouri, guard answered that scoring 25 points in the home-opening win versus Tarleton State. His 54 points were the most for a Jayhawk in the Bill Self era in the first two games of a season. He surpassed Frank Mason III's 51 points to open the 2016-17 campaign. The two 20-point efforts marked the eighth and ninth 20-point games of Agbaji's career.

Groves led Oklahoma in scoring in both victories over Northwestern State and UTSA as he was the first Sooner to tally 20-plus points in a game this season. He averaged 18.0 points per contest, which tied for fourth in the Big 12 last week, along with 7.0 defensive rebounds, which rank fourth in the Conference and third among teams that played two games. He finished the week 15-of-25 for a .600 field goal percentage and was one of two Big 12 players to attempt 25 or more shots and have a .600 or higher FG percentage.

Big 12 Player of the Week
Ochai Agbaji, Kansas, G, Sr.

Big 12 Newcomer of the Week
Tanner Groves, Oklahoma, F, Sr

Its all about the opponent

We've played three soft/unengaged teams. Duke, OU, and Texas. Leading at half of all three, 69-35, average of 23-12.

Three mid level tough/talented/engaged teams: Coastal, Tech, and KSU. Trailing at half of all three, 73-18, ave of 24-6.

Three smack in you the mouth, totally engaged teams, Baylor, ISU, and oSu. Trailed 90-7 @ half, ave 30-2. Baylor was a lot better at half than I remember.

Points I take from this.
1) Kids are getting coached right. They are given the tools to make plays and are in the right spots when not totally physically overwhelmed.

B) it's going to be a few years of consistancy with the practices and S&C to get there. Hopefully in a couple years we can consistently compete with the middle group. Illinois in 23 might be a great test of this.

3) dont overreact if TCU & WV come ready to play. This team wont have just had success and quit on the year. They wont still be drunk on success of last week. The coaches wont suddenly be idiots. We are still only 6 months into a 5/6 year process.
