Ticket Help

Trying to help my broke brother out.

(He’s on a teacher salary haha)

“I’m looking to take my niece to her first KU game. Fortunately and unfortunately the only date that works for her is the 29th (Kentucky). What an experience that would be!

Ticket prices are rightfully high for a game like this. It’s a long shot but I just wanted to see if there are any slant members that can’t make the game, who are also not looking to make a killin on their tickets?”

He just needs 2, thanks for any help!

Rock chalk!

100,000 dead this year and counting

This year, for the first time in our country’s history, more than 100,000 Americans overdosed and died. That's more than 100,000 families who will suffer this holiday season without their loved one at the dinner table. In my opinion, it is the greatest tragedy of our generation.

When you have an addict in your family, many days are filled with dread. But the holidays bring a new depth of sadness and anxiety that can be very tough for the family. The holidays bring such mixed feelings – glad this no longer young man is still alive and frustration that he is still immersed in the opioid epidemic. At least he is alive.

The family hasn’t seen him in a decade. We know of the arrests, and jail time, as well as the enablers with whom he currently lives. His mom is raising his two kids as the courts have long since severed his parental rights. Same with their addicted biological mother.

This is America’s other pandemic. Thought it needed exposure here.

Kansas Student-Athletes Set School Record with 90 Percent Graduation Success Rate

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas student-athletes set a school record with a combined 90 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR), surpassing the previous record of 85 percent set during both the 2015-16 and 2018-19 academic years. Each of the Kansas Athletics programs registered at least an 83 percent graduation success rate, with four teams posting perfect scores, according to the latest data released by the NCAA.

“The successful pursuit of a degree from the University of Kansas is at the core of our commitment to our outstanding student-athletes,” said Director of Athletics Travis Goff. “In a college athletics landscape where education is often overshadowed, this outstanding GSR is a testament to the hard work of our student-athletes in the classroom and our staff’s commitment to their academic pursuits.”

This data measures the graduation rates achieved by scholarship student-athletes who began their full-time collegiate careers in Fall 2014.
