Who the heck knows now with Bernie having the heart issues. Also saw where Yang raised 10 million in the 3rd quarter. That seems pretty impressive to me, given his campaign is being treated as a nothing burger by a lot of mainstream media. If Bernie can't quickly recover, it will be Warren's to lose, which means Trump, if he's still there, will have a fighting chance at reelection..uggh.

Of course I would be adversely affected if Medicare went away. The first reason is that I have already spent paid the Part A premium for well over the 40 quarters required. But I still have a part B premium to pay along with drug plan. In addition I have deductibles and co-pays. In other words I still pay for my healthcare. That is my reality-I, like all people my age pay for Medicare. Patrs B and D (doctor, outpatient, and drugs) are options. All seniors except those on Medicaid have these costs. Apparently you dont' know jack shit about healthcare costs for seniors.

Biden will be investigated, if not formally than informally. That isn't going away. Bernie's heart issue, when common, will still hurt him. That leaves Warren. Actually, as a conservative, she as President bothers me the very least of the others.

    Predictions:

Biden will not be legitimately investigated because it's a bullshit story. That said, he will drop because he's a known entity and really doesn't have much 'up' to go.

Bernie will stay the same. His heart issue is nothing, but he likely has a ceiling like Biden.

Warren will pick up any points Bernie and Biden shed. I imagine she'll get the nomination.

Yang will have a surprising well-played state early, everyone will get excited, but he'll fade and largely be a non-factor.

Mayor Pete will have a couple of 2nd and 3rd place finishes but never really factor.

75% of the field will drop before December.

I truly believe the threesome of Bernie, Biden, and Warren are the worst 3 possible nominees of any party, in possibly the history of our country. Seriously, look at these three. Damn weak in my opinion.

In that scenario, where does Warren go for her VP?

Probably needs an established, moderate, white male from the 'midwest'.

It reminds me of W.'s choice. Several people I spoke with at the time were skeptical of W, but liked Cheney enough (because he was an old hat in DC) to vote for him. For people who think Warren is too coastal and liberal, someone like a Hickenlooper, or Bullock might make her more palatable to some.

I want to congratulate you, for the first time ever, on stating your opinion without flying off the handle.

This is how you get people to respect your commentary. It's the first step anyway.

If you believe those three are the worst three possible nominees, who would be your top three in the field?

I'm surprised you say that about Biden. He's the furthest to the right and closest to your beliefs out of the entire field.

    Agree

His base is the most loyal and in fact will stay with him. I fully expect to see dips in polling between now and the 15th (Debates). He will attend them, he will hammer his healthcare message out more than ever before and no one is going to give a shit come the primaries which are months away.

I'm not going to make a prediction on the nomination but I believe Bernie can still overcome the DNC and the media that is working overtime to prevent him. I've stated all along that Biden won't get the nomination.

Fact: Believe it or not, of all the Biden supporters per multiple polls going back several months, they have Bernie as their second choice.

No doubt Warren and many others would get some. Bernie would benefit the most from Biden dropping out today.

He won't do shit in the first three. He might do well in CA on Super Tuesday if he's still in it. When he (and Tulsi) drops, it's Bernie that will benefit the most btw.

Disagree on the first part. He might finish 2nd or 3rd in Indiana, that's it. He was exposed a long time ago. Wholeheartedly agree on the last part.

We're at what now, 20? Gillibrand and Swalwell are the ones that have officially dropped that I'm aware of.

That would mean 15 people. At first I didn't think so but the more I think about it, especially with the debate requirement thresholds increasing, you're probably right.

If she picks Hickenlooper or Bullock, anything remotely like you described I wouldn't vote for her in my safe blue state.

You can also kiss a shot at the Senate goodbye and watch the House go into Jeopardy.

She'd win vs Trump easily, then lose the House in 2022 if not already. The net gain here would be replacing R.B.G but likely McConnell would say FU and block it regardless. She wouldn't get anything else through Congress. She'd be able to issue executive orders and roll back some dumb shit that Trump implemented, that's about it. She'd be hammered mercilessly for an inneffctive administration in 2024 and could easily be one-termed.

IF she does get the nomination she had better pick someone that is a progressive.

She does not need the conservative Dems or Republican's to beat Trump.

She would just need to actually try campaigning in rust belt states that Hillary ignored (and still almost won).

Time and time again the Ds double down on this reaching out to the ageing, conservative crowd. That is insane, literally. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

I'm not. I heard there is some betting site in Europe that has good odds on her. Obviously she would not have the capital everyone else has been raising.

I don't understand. Earlier in the week they said it was just discomfort. If they lie about something this serious, what else is Comrade Bernie's camp lying about? Hmmm.......

I wouldn't go that far. It hurts his chances, but he's lucky the news is buried behind Trump's continued abuse of power revelations.

It's true. He's committed so many egregious abuses of power the Ds are struggling to keep up. It's like having a cat that refuses to use the litter box and craps and pisses all over the house. It's a terrible cat, but you're the one paying the price.

Nicky boy, how wrong you’re. I communicate in a nice manner when someone, such as yourself, stops supporting the charade the dem’s are presenting. You are blatantly untruthful. If you were to be honest about what’s happening today with congress, dem strategy, etc. I would be able to contain myself.

I may vote Republican, but I can be all over the board. I don’t like to be classified as one type of person.

Honestly, this is really a weak dem group, correct. Seriously review each honestly, and I’m sure you will come to the same conclusion.

No one listens to what you say because the only substance is a string of insults. Not even in defense of yourself, but you literally will attack someone who never even knew you existed solely because your opinion is different.

The amount of drama you bring to the other boards was hilarious at first, now it's annoying.

This has been asked before, what are some differences between Warren and Sanders?

No idea about how much Biden got from China but he's reported to have been paid $900k by Ukranian energy company Burisma as a lobbyist after being VP.

Debates tonight. Some things to watch:

There will be 12 people on stage, the largest one yet. Tulsi tried to make some drama and get media/social media mentions by threatening to not show up but of course she was bluffing and announced she will show up.

Look for Pete and Beto to maybe get into a spat. They've been sparring in the press/social media a little bit.

Pete recently threw a jab at Warren and Bernie saying that "small change" can't win the election despite both of them outraised him Q3. He then went on to say he doesn't take corporate cash but failed to disclose he's done dozens of private, closed-door fundraisers at $2800/plate.

Obviously all eyes are going to be on Bernie. A commentator on CNN said Bernie had a stroke and no one bothered to correct him. Yet another example of the malicious media working against him. Bernie will get up there and tell the American public that he is in much better health than he was since he announced and went on his exhausting campaign schedule.

Look for Tulsi trying to take Warren down. Look for Kamala trying to take anyone down and get a bump again.

All in all with 12 people, half of which should have dropped out already, it will be mostly everyone trying to get that sound byte and zinger, their own "Jack Kennedy" moment.

I believe there are November debates with much stricter thresholds which may actually produce a more meaningful debate.

Kamala kept trying to hit Warren for her lack of committing to try to get Trump banned from Twitter, what a weird signature theme to go for the debates.
