Yesufu our best on ball defender?

Self obviously said Yesufu was good today and he was impressive offensively. Great floater, ultra quick getting to the basket and he's a good shooter. However, like I've observed with his defense, Self said he could be our best on ball defender which just shoes how much Self expects from him. If he can be this for us and lock guys down in man to man defense then he will be playing starter minutes and making a huge difference for this team. He gets overlooked a little by some because of his height but Yes has a lot of talent..

Russia at it again

https://www.foxnews.com/world/putin-demands-nato-guarantee-expand-eastward-russian-invasion

Also interesting in their comment sections. Some think Donald would tell Putin to pound sand....I like the one they Trump needed to wear diapers around Putin. But over all, I like this one the best...

After two decades of Putin’s rule, Russia is a country where all major media are controlled by the state; where elections are meaningless rituals with predetermined outcomes; where parliament, in the words of its own speaker, is “not a place for discussion”; where peaceful demonstrators are beaten by police; and where political opponents are imprisoned—or worse. Abroad, it has been kicked out of the G-8, faces crushing economic sanctions, and, for the first time in decades, has unrecognized international borders. It will take time and effort to undo this damage once Russia has a democratic government that respects the rights of its own people and behaves responsibly on the international stage. Sooner or later, that day will come.

So much of that is exactly what Trump was striving for in our own country.

College football Bizarro World

Things have just been crazy over the last few days and it's really been pretty crazy to see so many coaches let go before the season was even close to being over as well.
The craziest possibility could be if Notre Dame and Cincinnati both make the playoff.
If Notre Dame lands Luke Fickell then it's VERY likely that Marcus Freeman goes back to Cincinnati as the head coach there.
So, could we see two coaches switching schools and possibly leading another team in the playoffs? Both are very familiar with one another so they should be able to transition a lot more easily to the other team.
Is this something that could realistically happen? As crazy as things have gone this year, maybe it's proof that anything could happen.
All I know is that I'm just happy sitting around like this

knowing that KU has a VERY good coach in place and things are finally normal in Lawrence while going crazy elsewhere.

Portal issue I have

True or false. Could we not put the stats and a highlight film of Potter and equal anything we have seen on linebackers in the portal. Lots of these kids look good on highlights but aren’t even full time starters.

Les Miles always said you have to look at the whole game tape.

Now i‘m just using Potter as an example. He’s probably gonna beat out whoever we bring in at the beginning. I’m hoping good coaching will continue his growth. He should never of played early on.

Anyway patience in the portal. Gonna be lots of players available in next month or so.

Racist, abusive cop gets light sentence

In case you missed the story, during the St. Louis protests an undercover black cop who had not violated any laws was pinned to the ground by cops and ruthlessly beaten. The offending cop who actively beat the man was sentenced to only 4 years. The cop who pinned him down, live streamed his actions, has numerous racist comments, and bragged about beating people at the protest got 1 year and 1 day - half what even defense attorneys asked.

We need serious police reform in the county.

Coaching salaries

Looking at the $$$$ being thrown around by Texas A&M, LSU, USC and Michigan State, top college jobs are paying equal or more to most NFL head coaching gigs. Got to think NFL HCs will be using the Fisher, Kelly, Riley and Tucker numbers as negotiating leverage or even start taking college jobs. If OU is willing to give Kingsbury a significant pay bump, why wouldn’t he leave AZ? Same with ND. If the $$$ are there, coaches will take college jobs.
