Real quick on Braun

Went back and watched the game this morning. The thing I loved about Christian Braun last night was he didn’t force anything and played his game. Even when things weren’t going his way at the start the season, he didn’t panic or change anything about his game. He knew it would eventually click and he was right.

In scoring a career-high 31 points, Braun was 10-of-16 shooting from the field, 2-of-4 from behind the arc and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. Braun also pulled down eight rebounds, dished out four assists, had one block, and was credited with three steals.

SEC and ESPN

First the SEC is the premiere football conference. Obviously ESPN and the SEC are married. Great business decision by both organizations.

I am so glad the Alliance with the PAC, BIG and ACC.. I still think that the Big 12 was not invited because of the possibility of picking it apart. I think the SEC/ESPN were running things in their favor. They were getting so much control. If you watch College Game Day it is a SEC love fest. I hope that Fox makes a run at the playoffs just to add competition for it. When I watch Fox it seems their production is at a higher level.

I love college sports and the rivalries. We seem to be losing this because everyone is chasing the dollar. I know it is big business. I am glad the Alliance at this time is putting a temporary road block up on ESPN/SEC Empire.

I hope for the day KU is part of the landscape that counts. I think we are on our way with LL. I am not sure where KU you will land, but college sports is losing some fans because the schools/conferences are forgetting about the fans.

I think Georgia will bring the next championship to the SEC. Here’s to hoping that someone can knock them off, but I wouldn’t bet on it unless it was Alabama. We have seen that show before.
