Just a Question or a Few

If a bunch of Communists occupied the Capital Building and attempted to takeover Congress on Jan 6 Presidential Electoral vote counting day, and those folks got arrested, how should they be treated? Should they be jailed? How should they be treated in jail? Should they be allowed to request vegan meals?

I ask because the fascists who did just that, are being treated pretty well, imo.

Recruiting Update THE LATEST ON FOUR-STAR BIG MAN ADRAME DIONGUE

Hey all,

Recently, Adrame Diongue, the 6-foot-11, 210-pound center from Compass Prep in Chandler, Ariz., narrowed his list of schools down to Kansas, Illinois, Maryland, Oregon State, Texas, Texas Tech, UNLV, and Washington State. According to his coach, Diongue, the No. 107 ranked player in the 2022 class, is in the process of scheduling some visits, but when I spoke to his coach earlier in the week, he didn't get specific about the schools his star big man plans to visit.

Well, I heard back from Diongue, a four-star prospect, and he told me that he plans to visit Kansas before reaching a final decision. According to Diongue, a visit date hasn't been set yet, but it's currently being worked on at this time.

One of the fastest rising prospects in the 2022 class, a ton of programs have expressed a high level of interest in Diongue, but he's currently working with a list of eight schools. In making a few calls over the weekend, it was made clear to me that this is a player that the Kansas staff is very interested in and has spent quite a bit of time recruiting. Once a visit date is set, I'll let all of you know, However, Diongue made it clear that a visit to Kansas will take place in the future.

Bilas updated Rankings

Just thought I would share. I have no real opinion on on this other than I think hes probably pretty right about what he is saying about all the teams. I personally think he has a very rational approach to how he analyzes.

Its an ESPN insider story and I know a lot of people here don't subscribe so I just copied what he said about Kansas.

9. Kansas Jayhawks

As stated before, this is not Bill Self's most talented team, but this is a true team that Self has gotten the most out of. Kansas isn't in the top tier identified above, but close to it, and capable of beating any team in that tier when the Jayhawks are at their best. The headliner of the Jayhawks is Ochai Agbaji, who has been magnificent all season long. But, the unsung hero of this Kansas team is Christian Braun, who has put up consistent, versatile numbers all year. Braun is sixth in the Big 12 in scoring, 13th in rebounding, 13th in assists and fourth in blocks, as a guard. He is a strong finisher and a tough defender. He is an All-Big 12 player.

Kansas Duo Named CoSIDA Academic All-District 7

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas starters David McCormack and Christian Braun have been named Academic All-District 7 First Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Earning the accolade now makes McCormack and Braun eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-American.

McCormack graduated from Kansas in three years with an undergraduate degree in communications studies. The Norfolk, Virginia, senior forward is studying digital content strategy in graduate school at Kansas. This is the third time McCormack has been nominated for Academic All-American. McCormack leads the Big 12 with five double-doubles in league games this season and ranks third with six double-doubles overall. He is fourth in the Big 12 in rebounds per game at 7.0 rpg and fifth in block shots at 1.1.

A three-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree, last season McCormack led the Big 12 in field goal percentage at 51.5 percent and was the first recipient of the league’s Most Improved Player Award.

Braun has been nominated for Academic All-American each of the last two seasons. The Burlington, Kansas, junior guard is majoring in communications studies while a KU. A two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection, Braun is fifth in the Big 12 with a 15.3 scoring average, second in field goal percentage at 51.1 percent, seventh in free throw percentage (76.1%), 13th in rebounds (5.7) and 13th in assists (3.0). He has been named Big 12 Player of the Week once this season and was selected to the ESPN Events Invitational All-Tournament Team last November.

Both McCormack and Braun will be on the national ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-American with the team announced March 15. Kansas has had 15 Academic All-Americans dating back to Bud Stallworth in 1971 and its 15 are second most in NCAA Division I behind UCLA’s 17. KU’s most recent Academic All-American was Tyrel Reed in 2011.

Too early to guess our 2022 roster

So with Shay posting the team recruiting rankings, I started looking over this years roster and the current incoming recruits.

- As far as Super Seniors go, I think all are gone, I do not think Cam Martin will play for us.
- Ochai and David will not return.
- juniors, I think there is a chance Braun tests the waters but I think he will return especially if we do not get NC.
- sophomores, I think Yes and Harris will both be back. Jalen is wildcard. I know he tested waters last year. I can almost see him coming back for 1 last year but not fully sold yet.
- freshman, I think all come back with slim chance Bobby transfers depending upon Cuffe's progress.

2022 roster
Guards
-Cuffe
-Harris
-Yesufu

Forwards
- Braun
- Dick
- Rice

Big Men
- Clemence
- Adams
- Udeh
- Ejiofor

I personally would love to see Self play similar to how this years roster works out, 1 PG, 2 wings, 1 stretch 4 that can pop the 3 but big enough to bang inside if needed and 1 big man that is more of the hybrid type. True bigs are so rare these days especially with how quick the game has gotten. I want to see KU get faster on offense, and a ball hounding defense that creates a ton of turnovers.

Recruiting Update Andre Davis talks about KU visits, learning from his father

Davis has been to KU a few times. Moved to KC when his dad, former Chiefs WR Willie Davis, got a job in the area.

OT - Louisville & Golf

I am headed back to Louisville in May to play Valhalla CC. I went last year and played, but was wondering if anyone has advice on where to stay, other courses to play, bars, etc.

I am driving/flying out Thursday Thru Sunday & playing Valhalla Friday morning, probably eat at Jeff Ruby Friday night. Last time I went I stayed close to Whiskey row (Just east of I65) IIRC. Going with three clients/Friends. Thought about doing some kind of Bourbon tour Saturday or Golf.

Any rec's/advice I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
