Will this offseason be the biggest exodus of college football players of all-time?

I know we have 30 Seniors, but the more I think about it, I wonder if most schools are in a similar boat. If so, the portal is going to be as competitive as ever this year.
I also think the scholarship limit being increased to 105 is being underplayed. That's 20 more players everyone can add if they want to. I think most will want to.

Class of 2018: players that redshirted outside of 2020 and either grayshirted or was granted a medical
Class of 2019: players that redshirted outside of 2020 and used their covid year.
Class of 2020: players that either redshirted or used their covid year
Class of 2021: players that played all 4 years, or redshirted one year but want to go pro
Class of 2022: players leaving for the pros after 3 years.

Next year those Class of 2020 players that redshirted outside of 2020 and are also choosing to take advantage of their Covid year will be 6th year players. It will be the last year of the covid exception outside of maybe a few medical cases.

@The Mascara Snake do you still track KSU and ISU in that much detail? I'm curious what their numbers look like.

3 tix - KU @ Ark Section 113 (sold)

Can't make the game. It's in Fayetteville this Friday @7p (as I am sure everyone is aware).

Asking face value for Jayhawk folks, $77.50 ea. (face and transfer fee they charged me) for three (3) tix, $232.50 total. DM and we can Venmo or PP then I'll transfer from the app via email or phone. This uses the Arkansas Paciolan app and you will need to create an account to login and download the tix to your Apple or Google Wallet.

UVA Coach Tony Bennett Retiring

According to various press reports on Twitter (including Jeff Goldman and Nicole Auerbach), Virginia men’s basketball coach Tony Bennett will officially announce his retirement. New information, there will be a news conference Friday at 11am that will be streamed, the school says.

Hope I am wrong, but kind of have to think it is something serious since it is less than three weeks before their first game.

News and Notes Updates from Lance Leipold - Kansas State week

Team came in with good attitude on Monday and have to get ready for KSU.

JB Brown an explosive rusher and times things up well. Plays with tremendous motor.

Used him in blitz and DE last year. Weren't generating pass rush so wanted to find ways.

KSU is well coached and balanced. The coordinator done good job mixing things up. Good RB with different styles. Dylan Edwards has been a good addition. Johnson is showing what he can be and they have rebuilt their OL.

Always have productive TE. We'll coached defense. Rotate a lot of players and fundamentally sound.

Doesn't do a lot extra just because it's a rivalry week. Said you don't want to put too much stock in one game when you have another one coming after that.

Jalon is more comfortable in the pocket. Got LJ the ball a little more.

Cornell handled it well and wasnt quite 100%.

Said recruiting can be impacted by this game especially locally. Not sure if it sways someone one way or the other.

Young guys got good snaps in the secondary with Purdy and Taylor Davis.

Said a night game they have a template in how they plan their trip out. Obviously this is a bus trip.

Mentioned guys like Devin Neal playing in last Sunflower Showdown and means a lot but Lance doesn't like to put too much emphasis on making it a much bigger game than others. But he knows importance of game since he arrived.

Said we are starting to see the old a Jalon Daniels that we have seen in the past.

Hishaw didn't practice and is highly questionable.

Nike as Boeing

I see that Nike stock has lost 20% in a single day as the company appears to be on the trail blazed by Boeing. Apparently they've gone the route of hiring a non footwear accountant as CEO who's chosen to focus on cutting costs/living off old products to make quick money. Innovation and new products have slipped badly and they are in a spiral of lost panache and becoming just another swinging shoe dick. Worked well for a couple years but is now time to pay the piper. Maybe this has been discussed on another board I don't read. Anyway, I'd think this will have great bearing on the collegiate Adidas vs Nike debate as Nike will have to cut costs further in a big way. I'm probably late to the matter but man this could make KU' Adidas deal a very good thing.

Jews continue to abandon the antisemitic Democrat party.

Like all Thinking Americans Jews are sickened by the growing radical and blatantly antisemetic Democrat party. Blacks and Hispanics are also leaving the sick Democrat plantation and backing Trump. Sadly, our Democrat-run universities have been overtaken by Israel-hating Democrat administrators, professors and students resembling 1939 Nazi Germany. Jewish students can no longer attend these Democrat cesspools where their safety is in grave danger. This is NOT America but it IS the sick America under Democrat rule!

Lfelong habits are hard to change and most Jews still vote Democrat, but a record percentage of Jews all across America will be backing Trump in November, and they have left the antisemetic Democrat party forever! Now, our own Slant Jew-in-name-only, Apartheid nick, doesn't give a rip about the state of Israel or the persecution of Jews in the U.S, because, sadly, he worships the Democrat party over everything else.

You know the dam has broken when even NY Jews have abandoned the radical antisemetic Democrat party.

Questions on injuries

Elmarko is out for the year recovering from surgery for a torn patellar tendon he suffered on 2024-06-04.
Q1: Any updates on his progress since surgery?
Q2: Which knee? I've read nothing on whether it was R or L patellar tendon.

Shakeel broke a bone in his foot 2024-09-09 but is expected back for the start of the regular season.
Q3: Update on his progress?
Q4: Again, which foot?

Hunter - last night HCBS said HD had tweaked his foot, but he should be okay.
Q5: Which foot?
Q6: Any more info on this? I've been away from the board for a while, last night was the first I knew of HD hurting his foot.

Thanks!

LTC

Off Topic Flu season is on the way

Who is already trying to prepare for the madness? Especially for those nasty cold November and December outdoor games? Any ideas for those who constantly suffer? Anyway, I see that my needy fix of a YouTube channel published this video today.

The scientific information this man provides on his videos is crazy good. If only this happened back in 2020 or before...

Instead of resurrecting our infamous Covid is just the flu, "what's for lunch?", and other random chatter thread, I'll simply make this one.
