KANSAS’ WIN...

• Extended its win streak to eight straight games.

• Extended its conference-opener win streak to 31-straight, beginning in 1992.

• Made Kansas 12-1 or better for the ninth time in head coach Bill Self’s 19 seasons at KU.

• Made Self 741-224 all-time, including 534-119 while at Kansas.

• Made Kansas 2,335-872 all-time.

TEAM NOTES:

• Kansas secured a season-high 50 rebounds. That is the most by a KU team in a conference game on the road since Jan. 13, 2014, at No. 8 Iowa State (53 rebounds). Kansas held a 50-36 advantage on the boards.

• Kansas had two players off the bench grab double-digit rebounds (David McCormack - 15, Jalen Wilson - 15). They are the first Kansas duo with 10+ rebounds off the bench in a single game since Markieff Morris and Thomas Robinson both had 10 rebounds at Cal on Dec. 22, 2010.

• Kansas grabbed 17 offensive rebounds at Oklahoma State on Tuesday. The 17 offensive boards are the highest total on the road in a conference game since Feb. 10, 2014, at Kansas State (18 offensive rebounds). KU has posted 10+ offensive rebounds in eight games this season.

• Kansas and Oklahoma State were tied 29-29 at the half. KU has been leading or tied at the half in all 13 games this season.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:

• Senior David McCormack recorded his second double-double of the season (ninth career) with a season-high 17 points on 7-of-13 (53.8 percent) shooting and a career-high 15 rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.

• Redshirt-sophomore added a career-high 15 rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench.

• Senior Ochai Agbaji knocked down three triples en route to 16 points in 30 minutes of action. Agbaji now has 1,183 career points to move him into a tie for 40th on the all-time KU scoring list with Aaron Miles.

• Agbaji started his 90th consecutive game on Tuesday, moving him solely into eighth on the all-time list for consecutive starts at KU. His 184 career three-point field goals rank 10th on the all-time list.

• Junior Christian Braun finished with 15 points, six rebounds, and a season-high-tying six assists in 35 minutes. Braun has scored in double figures in 12 straight games.

• Super-senior Mitch Lightfoot made his first start of the season. Lightfoot had six points on 3-of-5 (60.0 percent) shooting, four rebounds, and a season-high four blocks in 15 minutes.

No surprise here-- Another POS Democrat Pedophile

I'm hearing that some of his heros are Jeffery Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, Bill Clinton, the Cuomo brothers and Moron Joe

How did you form your political views

I am always curious how people form their own personal political views.

Personally, I grew up in a family probably like many others on here. Family get together’s were always interesting. My family had differing political views. Luckily, my parents taught me and my siblings that your life experiences will shape your thoughts on politics. my parents weren’t particularly political. I don’t remember them sitting around with friends talking politics. I will admit in the last 10 years or so my parents are more openly political.

Growing up in a small town in central Kansas I think it’s safe to say I was surrounded by a conservative viewpoint. I do think growing up in the 80s, politics was something people talked about in small groups. It wasn’t something that dominated the public sphere. I just know traditional family values was something expected. Church, school, sports dominated my upbringing. That’s probably not any different than most people on here.

I don’t think it was until I moved to Lawrence that I started being around folks with differing upbringings. I don’t think I ever rejected someone else’s point of you, but it rather helped reinforce or shape my own views today.

We live in a completely different world than that of the 70s or 80s. Those much older than me can probably attest things have even changed a lot more then just the last 43 years of my life.

So how did you form your political views? Did you always think the way you did? Who was your biggest political influencer?

Where is DeSantis?

I know it's the holidays but he literally hasn't been heard of and his Twitter posted a doctored image from a couple weeks ago to make it look like he appeared publicly yesterday. Why?

I know he's a fascist and all but the above is literally a DPRK thing to do.

His state has like 78k+ or something ridiculous reported daily cases and no word. I believe in Occam's Razor so I guess the simplest explanation here is he OD'd in a big gay sex orgy and is in critical condition.

Define "get McCormack going"

It's been said and we all agree, if KU is to make the FF Big dave has to "get going"... @shay and others, give me your definition.

Here is mine

11 points a game , 8 rebound, 50% shooting and 70+% FT shooting...

With Braun, Och and Remy's scoring I don't think we need 13-15 a game from Dave. but 11ish on above 50 % shooting with him hitting ft's and actually rebounding like a 6'10 guy is my definition. If he can do these things, KU has a great shot.

Off Topic Career change after 40

Anyone here change careers after their 40th birthday? I’ve been pondering making a career change over the past year, but apprehensive about the move.

This past year was a difficult one for me personally from a job/life perspective. Without giving up to much personal history I can give a little backstory though of where I’m at.

The stress and anxiety finally caught up to me this past May. I had told myself I wasn’t going back to that situation and that I would be making some changes. Luckily I have a very loving and supportive wife and son. I’ve been getting necessary help for some of my issues, but my job situation needs to change. I’ve become burnt out

Career-wise, I have been in the landscape service industry for nearly 20-years. Both in sales and in production. Currently I’ve been managing a large landscape/turf department in Blue Springs. I roughly have 50+ guys under me. I also have worked as an account manager.

I’ve thought about staying in sales or even in an account managing role, but not sure how my experiences translate to other industries.

In college (many moons ago) I studied history and sports management. While I love both, I think it’s a little late to get into teaching and found a sports management field as appealing but very limited with job opportunities.

If anyone has any life experiences dealing with this type of change or have any feedback about what they did, I would appreciate the dialogue. It’s one thing making a change at 30 years old but being 43 and making a change seems daunting.
