A message from our new advertiser — Bill Brandmeyer

ShareWaves, a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, is on a mission to harness the life-changing power of sports to positively impact children's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We break down the barriers that prevent under-resourced youth from participating in high-quality sports experiences. We are driven by the belief that sports can play a pivotal role in shaping better humans, and we are committed to holistic development for every child we serve.

ShareWaves has worked to close the disparity gap in youth sports participation for over half a decade. Many children from disadvantaged backgrounds are deprived of the opportunities that well-resourced kids often take for granted. We have invested in programs to provide these under-resourced families access to safe, engaging, and meaningful sports activities that foster physical health, mental resilience, and emotional well-being.

Our mission goes beyond mere participation—we are focused on leveraging the power of sports to build better humans. We are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background, can access the life-enriching benefits of sports and physical activity. This mission is especially crucial as we confront the growing adolescent mental health crisis, which rising rates of anxiety, depression, and social isolation have exacerbated.

The Option

Jalon really needs to work on his option game. I understand if they are telling him not to get hit, but if he doesn't turn upfield and make the defense commit that play is worthless. He constantly strings that play out to the sideline and pitches to the back that is barely in bounds. Unfortunately, this is the one of the few running play we have that goes outside the tackles.

How important is it?

I've been thinking about the upcoming season, which is right around the corner, and began to think about the importance of Kansas making a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. So, my question is, how important is it for Kansas to make a deep run this upcoming season?

During the 2021-22 season, Bill Self won his second national championship at Kansas and finished with an overall record of 34-6. A year later, the Jayhawks were again awarded a No. 1 seed but fell to Arkansas, the No. 8 seed, during the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

Last season, Kansas finished the year with an overall record of 23-11 and lost to Gonzaga during the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year.

Before the season started, a few guys didn't show up or were removed from the roster, while Kevin McCullar, Jr., missed significant time down the stretch and never returned to the court. Hunter Dickinson also suffered an injury to his shoulder, but he returned for the NCAA Tournament.

With a roster that appears to be loaded from top to bottom, how important is it for Kansas to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament this season?

What's funny about this season to me.

Are the posts about the new stadium being built like it's a bad thing. Do people really miss that shithole? I've taken multiple fans from other schools to games and all them gave a dig about what a crap stadium we have. It's like some fans equate Memorial Stadium to Allen Fieldhouse. The new stadium is the least of our concerns.
