My buddy on JD6

Asked a writer from another site if NFL draft was in the cards for JD and also if we want to bring him back.

The writer replied that Kansas will do everything in its power to bring back JD for his final season of college ball.

I think this says two things:

1. JD has never lost the faith of the staff and they knew it was a matter of when not if that he starts looking like JD again. He’s obviously been his old self and he’s a top QB in football when he’s himself.

2. Marshall is not close to ready. So the idea of having to start him, Ballard, or a transfer is what we are looking at and they much prefer JD. Which is a no brainer in my opinion.

@JK what are you hearing? JD loses his best teammates with Devin, Grimm, Arnold, Skinner all leaving. But I think Lance and JD have a strong connection.

Off Topic Official Chiefs Season Thread - 2024

Hard to believe we're here already. It's hard to find a bunch of flaws in this team, which makes me a little nervous. Looking forward to seeing how our receivers have developed. I imagine the Ravens will come out with some fire tomorrow. Should be a good game. The line opened up at -3 and really hasn't moved.

Off Topic KU Football Lockers

Hey all, last summer when KU was replacing the football lockers at Anderson, I (my wife) was able to procure more than what we actually needed and used. With that being said, I have 5 lockers available for free here in Lawrence. I would post pics but I don't know how and have tired to do so with no success. If you are interested, shoot me a DM and I can make arrangements for you to view them and potentially grab one, two, or all of them. They are pretty damn heavy though. They are 73 inches tall and 3 ft by 3ft at the base. Again they are FREE. They cannot be sold. If no takers, I will have them hauled to the dump. Holla at me....they are available right now! I need them moved from my rental property ASAP.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

• Making his Jayhawk debut, Zeke Mayo scored 19 points on 7-of-12 (58.3 percent) shooting, including a 5-for-8 (62.5 percent) clip from beyond the arc. Mayo is one of just four Jayhawks to hit five or more three-pointers in his Kansas debut, joining the club that includes Quentin Grimes, Josh Shelby, and Elijah Johnson.

• Hunter Dickinson tied his carer high in steals with three. This is the fifth time in his career and the second time at Kansas that he has accomplished that feat. Dickinson pulled in six rebounds to go along with his 16 points, also blocking two shots.

• Flory Bidunga’s 13 points marked the most in a freshman debut since Gradey Dick scored 23 against Omaha on Nov. 7, 2022. Bidunga also added eight rebounds and blocked two shots.

• With five assists Monday night, Dajuan Harris Jr. now has 681 for his career. Harris is just four assists away from moving into solo position of third on the Kansas career assist list (Cedric Hunter 1984-87, 684). Harris joined the top 10 list in career games played with his 141st game. Harris tied Kirk Hinrich (2000-03) Monday night.
