Obviously, he is still beloved by most around here. He brought us the secondary break and some of the best collection of talent we have seen in these parts. Still sore about him not being able to win the national title here. Especially in 97’ & 03’ in particular. Still sticks in my craw.
He was so blessed to be able to be only head coach at two Blue Bloods. Rarely anyone ever gets that honor. Larry Brown also had that honor with KU and UCLA. At least Roy stuck around much longer to enjoy the success at those two stops.
