I thought last night when I was going over all my position notes I thought the picture was clearing up. Then as I started to work my way through different positions I realized I was wrong. The only thing I realized is the list got smaller because players picking other schools.

Amare Thomas from UAB was going to visit but chose Houston. Kendall Stanley OL from Charlotte told KU they are out. WR Harvey Broussard who had a KU offer signed with Houston. Hearing Tre Bell from Lindenwood is asking for a lot of money and some schools are backing off. There are others but you get the idea.

But there are still plenty of targets on the board and we are at the point as some players get crossed off, other will be added. There are a lot of good players in the portal and some others who will find out they don't have spots at some schools they thought they did.

If we are making a wish list I would love to see KU land Jack Tanner and Tyler Mercer, but they will have to beat out several schools. I have talked to people and I think they would be good fits with three years left.

The receiver position is the hardest to judge right now because Samuel is on so many targets. Between Jalen Moss (Fresno State), Aziah Johnson (Michigan State), Cam Pickett (Ball State), Bryson Canty (Columbia), Dean Patterson (FIU) and some others I am tracking I think he will end up some who can help in 2025. They are tough to read because they might take more visits, but that can change if they realize KU could move on to other targets.

Dayon Hayes DL from Colorado visited and I am hearing he will take one or two more visits. KU entered the picture late and he had a one day visit and part of that was just to see if KU would be a good mix.

I have been told South Carolina TE Connor Cox is visiting Michigan State and then North Carolina State. He visited yesterday.

Joseph Sipp Jr is on campus and he's someone I hope Simpson can get. I like his film and the more I hear about him he's a leader type. But he's got several Big 12 options. I'd like to see Simpson put the squeeze on Sipp because KU can get him.

LB Everett Roussaw from UAB told me he is set to visit today. I know someone else who has been in touch with him that said he plans to visit Memphis and promised their coaches he would visit after KU. There are some other LB who could be in play next week with Bryan McCoy from Akron and Antarron Turner from Western Carolina.

The corner I would like to see them close is DJ Graham from Utah State. He transferred from Oklahoma where he was a WR and converted to a corner. I have said I believe KU is high on his list. Jhalil Hurley is tough to read from Alabama. The people I spoke with say he has talent but just couldn't get much going at Alabama. I was told a change of scenery could help. Missouri was set to close in on him but then slow-played him. Then Missouri lost two corners and it is unclear if they will make a push at him again.

With the portal you have to be patient because this info is changing by the hour. Between NIL offers, schools filling up at certain positions, and new offers the board changes daily. My advice is don't get too up or down right now because there is going to be a lot of movement.
