There have been several posts recently concerning the lack of CB depth going into next year. Anyone know what is up with Justin Williams? The following is a quote by Kenny Perry in a JK write up on August 6. It certainly sounded like he was going to be a big contributor:
"The biggest catch many aren’t talking about is Justin Williams from NEO. He reported this summer and has three years of eligibility. Williams only played one year of cornerback in high school. He attended Bixby High School, the same as former Jayhawk Chris Harris.
“He is a longer and bigger kid,” Perry said. “He got hurt in junior college but what a pleasant surprise he has been. I think he is going to play and not only contribute on defense but I think he will play special teams. What a steal that was for us to get a kid like that. He has the body and he is big enough to play in this conference.”
