So, here is what I know about DeAndre Harper from a few things I heard this week.
The KU staff was looking at Langden Kitchen and I heard people at Northwest Missouri State told them about Harper. Their coach Rich Wright is not returning in 2025 and several of their players went in the portal.
I heard Harper's film from his freshman year was really good. But from what I am hearing he looks like a Power Four lineman. I think when he showed up on the visit his frame along with his film was a no-brainer because he has three years eligibility.
They look at him like a high school recruit who already has a year of college film under his belt. I was told tonight that Agpalsa liked him a lot and KU was going to take him as one of the OL in the portal class and he was near the top of the board.
Here's my warning on this... don't look at that like it is a stretch. As I am typing this I just talked to someone and the staff really likes him. I was just told when he gets in with Gildersleeve he is going to be a monster. Hearing he is legit 6-foot-6, 310 pounds right now and athletic.
