Both are great programs which the pols have comandered as both a talking and dividing point, and along the way grossly mismanged each. But for the likes of Bernie saying "free healthcare for everyone is a right" sounds sexier than "I will fix Medicare". What makes any sane person think that our system of healthcare administered through private paractic, states doing medicaid, healthcare available through employers as well as the open market can be overturned and managed by Congress? Bernie nor Congress has a magic lamp with a genie inside. Make changes to and improve existing sytems. There are things that can be done to help those who need it while holding onto the benefits of the present system.
