KU v Duke ticket disappointment

Did anyone else purchase the highest level of tickets through KU several months ago, only to learn today that the tickets you paid hundreds of dollars each for are in the corner of T Mobile Arena? Over the last several months, I sent several messages asking exactly where my seats would be was consistently told they wouldn't know until November. Perhaps I'm the only one that got crappy seats, but in any event, I am super disasspointed. I am finding today that I could purchase better seats for the same money on the second hand market and can promise I won't make the mistake of simply "trusting KU ticketing department" to do the right thing again anytime soon.

To be fair to them, I have a message in to them today to see if they can do better and haven't heard back yet. But with only a week left I'm not holding on to much hope. I will certainly update this thread if they do turn this around.

Going with two LB sets against Colorado

Wonder if they get more DBs on the field.

Utah blizted a lot and had some one-on-one coverages and they got burned.

Sanders first throw of the game was picked off and it did not look very good. He had a bad read.

Utah scored on a long pass play where they went right after Travis Hunter. Colorado built an early lead off of a punt return touchdown, and then two interceptions after that.

The way Colorado lines up and their routes I don't think you can play three linebackers on the field. That's just me.

recruiting emotions

While the calendar, portal, NIL are all different than what we've seen...a lot of things are still consistent:
  1. teenagers change their minds
  2. something happens during a season to change the board for a school
Folks, until a kid has signed their letter of intent, you never truly know. Don't lose your marbles so early in the calendar.

Nagy has shown out all year and is not some random kid. He is as valuable to a team that is a decent team in KC as anyone.

Nickens is an appropriately categorized athlete, he'd be higher ranked if he was still in Oklahoma and just running around on a football field vs pegged into an actual system he has minimal understanding of. He'd have more suitors than he did currently.

Hayes deciding to stay home for reasons.

Now Thurman has come on board. I could give zero $hits if Notre Dame dropped him. Kid has excellent potential.

Dickinson Named Big 12 Player of the Week

LAWRENCE, Kan. – For the second-straight week, Kansas center Hunter Dickinson has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. The Big 12 men’s weekly honors are decided in a vote by a media panel which covers the league.

Dickinson opened the week posting his 50th career double-double, second of the season, with a season-high 28 points and 12 rebounds in the 77-69 win against Michigan State in the Champions Classic. The Alexandria, Virginia native also tied his career high with three steals and was 13-for-21 (61.9%) from the field against MSU. In the 78-57 win against Oakland, Dickinson just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. He had a season-high four blocked shots with two steals in the win.

This is the eighth Big 12 weekly honor for Dickinson, including his fifth Big 12 Player of the Week honor. Last year, Dickinson was a two-time Big 12 Newcomer of the Week while at Kansas. Career-wise, this is the seventh time Dickinson has been named his league’s player of the week.

No. 1 Kansas (4-0) will host UNCW (3-0) on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The game from Allen Fieldhouse will start at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN+.

News and Notes Updates from Lance Leipold press conference - Colorado week

Schedule on coming back worked out well and he said the players were happy with it.

Got back at 6 am but not only team that has to do that.

Has a lot of respect for Deion Sanders. Said one thing they've done is come up through ranks different to get to P4 level.

Said he's built a team one of most improved in the country. Very talented and productive.

Said Hunter is multi talented and a NFL draft pick. Done good job keeping him healthy. Special athlete of our time.

Said he hasnt followed CU's season a lot because they have been playing and they didn't play them last year.

Arnold did some things at practice today and called him highly questionable.

Taylor Davis continues to get better. Is coachable and learns. You see him get better.

Said Cabeldue is still tender but found a way to play.

Have to play in space and tackle well because Colorado WR can make you miss and make big plays.

Doing senior day away from home is different. They have to control their emotions. Lot of seniors have been impactful to the program.

Sorry. We ain’t going to Shreveport

Kansas is not in the pool that would go to Shreveport.

It would be one of these:
Rate — Phoenix
Armed Forces — Ft Worth
Liberty — Memphis
Pop-Tarts — Orlando
Alamo — San Antonio
Texas — Houston
First Responder— Dallas

Our new brethren, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, and Colorado are in the pool that would go to lovely and glamorous Shreveport.
