Blocker for Big 12 Sports Network

It sucks watching games on networks that are intentionally trying to destroy the game most of us love or be forced into a 9c/10pm est game time.

What are the blockers for the Big 12 creating a sports network? Is it only legal contract issues between the big providers? It feels like labor structure could be made cheap. Looking at ESPN+, production costs can be bare bones. Advertising revenue would start low, but if the Big 12 refuses to play for the big channels and provides free access to the nation, there is a significant amount of advertising revenue stream opportunity there.

The OL has been really good by PFF standards

I'm doing my preview for the Iowa State and going over the OL.

I'm going to contact the guys at PFF because I don't think they rate groups with a total score. I can't imagine an OL with a better score in the league than KU.

Logan Brown (82.2), Michael Ford (79.2), Bryce Cabeldue (78.9), Bryce Foster (78.0), Kobe Baynes (66.7)

When your lowest OL is 66.7 and four guys between 78-82 that's really good. When I look at KU's opponents every week I don't see scores close to that.

News and Notes Updates from Jeff Grimes - Iowa State week

Veteran group of players have shown up ready to practice.

Said KSU game was some time ago so he didn't talk much about it except that they didn't get it done in the 4th quarter.

Said Trevor Wilson shown lot of improvement and making contested catches. In fall camp could make a big play with his speed.

Lot of respect for Heacock at Iowa State and ISU physical and will make you earn it.

Disguises blitz very well. They make you earn the yards and force you to go on long drives.

They have a lot of ways they can come after you. You have to be able to pick up what they are doing.

I asked about Hishaw and Grimes said that would be a good question for the head coach.

Tried to use bye week to work on things to tweak things but this was more focused on getting guys healthy.

News and Notes Updates from Lance Leipold - Hawk Talk

Brian Hanni said 200 people in the crowd for Hawk Talk and talked about three women's games this evening with soccer, volleyball, and basketball.

Leipold said it was another productive off week and everybody has a good attitude. He said they have been confident going into every game. They've seen how small the margins are in each game.

The health is still critical at this time because normal wear and tear through the season. Said Sunday's night was a spirited practice.

They've talked about owning what you see on film and that's one thing they went over during the bye week and nobody makes any excuses. They have all continued to work and stick together.

Iowa State with Campbell and their staff have done an outstanding job at Iowa State. They even had a time where they fell back but he has built them right back up. They do a good job with turnover margin and one of the least penalized teams in the country. They protect the ball and cause turnovers.

After the loss he expects Iowa State to come in and be ready to play. Leipold said if they play their best football they have a chance to win the game.
