Just a totally different level of talent..

If you need something to cheer you up go watch highlights of Darren Peterson, Bryson Tiller and Samis Calderon. It's impossible to predict how good they will be as young players but the talent level they bring is on another level compared to what we've had the past couple years. Those 3 with Bidunga give you an impressive group of NBA talent and athletic ability. Bidunga, Bryson and Samis are all around 6'8-6'9 and have impressive 7'3ish wingspan while being fluid athletes that also seem to have a high level of skill. Then there's Peterson, who just scored 58 points against Dybantsa the other night and is a true alpha.

I think whoever comes back will give us a core of guys who have experience in the system and some talent in their own right. So I'll be interested to see what Self can do with a level of talent he hasn't had in awhile, coupled with some guys who have also been in our system for 2-3 years. These guys are the types of talents that the modern game revolves around, and while I can see next year's team having some growing pains they should be a fun team to watch! Need to get a PG and if we can land a good fit in the portal next year's team could be pretty damn good in my opinion..

Coaches at Glazier Clinic

KU was well represented this weekend at the Glazier clinic. I was at Coach Simpson & Coach Panagos sessions. Simpson wasn't bad, just talked too much about culture and ran out of time when it came to the X's and O's of LB. But Panagos was awesome. Definitely one of the better DL sessions I've ever been to. He showed drills and did a great job of backing it up with film from both practice and games. Leipold was the last speaker of the night Friday. He is definitely not a "rah rah" guy. He talked for about 10 minutes and was ready to get out of there. Not sure if any of you care to hear about stuff like this, but with it being a dead period I figured I would give you my thoughts!
