Apparently Mahomes started his career under Tommy before Kliff got the job. Must have been his freshman year though I have no memory of it. Tuberville was foolish to leave such a talented QB.
I'm assuming Mahomes helped elevate his career as it's been said that Tuberville has told others something along the lines of "he made me into a great coach," referring to Mahomes.
I don't think Mahomes would be where he is today had he not worked with Kingsbury.
