Personally, I think he does it after next Tuesday. Waiting until at least Tuesday allows all the attention to be cast to Trump and his momentum and impending nomination. If he announced this week, he takes the focus off Trump and potentially casts a wrench in the GOP election. If he waits and Trump does well next Tuesday, he can drop the SC nominee just as the news is announcing that Trump will be the nominee (despite not having enough delegates) thereby blunting any chance of Cruz building off the inevitable Rubio withdrawal and possible Kasich withdrawal. The Ds clearly want to face Trump first and I think that is the best bet.
That said, a buddy thinks he should hold off for another month to not mess with the D one and to let Trump milk as much attention as he can.
