ESPN is reporting that Memphis is considering eating the full 9.75 mil in Tubby’s existing salary to hire Penny Hardaway. Looks like Memphis thinks Penny can make them a player for Lawson, Wiseman, and Jeffries, all who play for team Penny (Hardaway’s AAU squad). Would be a wild recruiting development. Further, article is saying Hardaway would Target Larry Brown as an assistant. I don’t know what Memphis’ money situation is like but man that seems an expensive turnover for a guy that they went and took from Tech what, two years ago now? Wild!
