Yes, I may be a little biased because I'm all in on the Kane Train, but it sounds like he's legit in this.
I'm cautiously optimistic, and I know hiring Kane may upset/disappoint JK and some of you, but to have an AD and a football HC both in their dream/lifetime jobs at KU (plus Bill locked in for life) - would be pretty special. And I think they'd pour everything they have into making this work.
Mike did also say he sees it as an uphill battle for Kane, which I'm sure it still is. But if he's in this until the end then I think that says a lot about him and his future as a head coach.
Look forward to more of what JK is hearing as the day/week goes on.
