i talked to a young ksu grad. He claimed to have the inside scoop.
First, the band director knew nothing.
Second, members of the band did it intentionally.
Third, several student leaders of the band have lost their positions and possibly their band scholarships too.
Fourth, ksu is desperately trying to keep this info secret, and failing miserably. Apparently this is common info among the student body.
I have no idea how good the info is, or whether this guy really has good connections.
