I talked earlier that SDSU would play a physical styie I just didn't think they push KU up front as bad as they have.
Too many runs early on where KU defenders didn't wrap and that hurt them.
Personnally I didn't like the throw to the end zone on 4th and 3 where if they get points and get it to 31-21 or 31-17 they get the ball back at half. At that point their short passing game was clicking a little and Cozart also had the defense on their heels with the zone read.
This next half is what I have been talking about for a long time. KU is going to be in games where they are trailing and sometime by a lot. We all knew that, or at least those that follow it closely did.
How they respond is going to be a big sign. The Mason/Mangino teams still fought and clawed in these times. This is where an identity will be built of #earning it and playing hard. They started to figure things in the second quarter and get a feel.
They need to find a way to improve and compete even when they are down.
