Former LB Kyle McNorton is running for the Kansas House of Representatives in a district in northern Shawnee County.
He played LB from 1978-81 and was KU’s leading tackler with 381 tackles before his career record was broken by Willie Pless. He was all-conference in 1981 with WR Wayne Capers, OG David Lawrence, and P Bucky Scribner.
He had a team-leading 16 tackles in the Hall of Fame Bowl in 1981.
He led the team in tackles with 132 in both 1980 and 1981.
