Sources have told Jayhawk Slant Quincy Perdue will transfer from UAB and enroll at Kansas. Some services had Perdue as a three-star receiver coming out of Lassiter High in Georgia in the 2014 class.

Perdue played at Lassiter a well known and successful high school program where he was an All-County selection. He received offers from UAB, Memphis, Troy, Florida Atlantic, and Marshall out of high school.

One individual recently described him as a "physical specimen" at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with above average speed. In the state prelims in track he finished first with a 22.45 in the 200m. He also placed second in the region 5AAAA in the 100m.

UAB didn't throw the ball much so he was looking for a different offense when the school originally dropped their football program.

He had several opportunities to join other programs. He had offers from Houston, SMU, Troy, and Central Florida after he decided to leave the UAB program. Mississippi State was also making a push at him.

It is believed Perdue will be eligible to play this year and have four years to play three at Kansas.

This is a very solid pick up at this stage in the game because he is basically like a high school recruit for Kansas. And he's already spent a year at the division one level. One source said he's already on campus but I haven't been able to confirm that.

Here is a touchdown he caught last year against Mississippi State as a true freshman
