For fun I looked back at the recruits Rivals has listed from KS or KCMO at OL, DE, or DT since 2010 that show as committed to Power 5 conference schools or BYU to see how much talent is produced and how much of it we sign. Some turned into NFL players and some into busts and maybe I missed a few but I think it shows that getting lineman from the area would greatly improve the team.
2015- Christian Gaylord, Khalil and Carlos Davis with Neb, Scott Frantz and Evan Applegate with KSU and AJ Harris with MU.
2014- Braden Smith with Auburn, Peyton Newel with Neb, and Austin Chambers with BYU
2013- Clay Rhodes and Antar Thompson with MU, Zach Hannon with Neb, and Jordan Willis with KSU
2012- Trace Clark with OK St, Ondre Pipkins with Michigan, Evan Boehm with MU, Nathanael Lohn with Stanford, and Travis Britz with KSU
2011- Jordan Phillips with OU, Shane Ray with MU, Cody Whitehair with KSU and Dylan Admire and Michael Reynolds with KU
2010- Geneo Grissom with OU, Lucas Vincent with MU, Laton Dowling with KSU, Travis Tuiloma with BYU, and Pat Lewandowski with KU.
That was 18 from KS and we got 3 (Admire, Lewandowski, Reynolds)
9 from the MO side of Kansas City and we got none.
