The Kansas coaches opened up camp season with a stop at Garden City. One of the headliners was Ian Rudzik from Ulysses. The linebacker has picked up an offer from Wyoming and looking to show what he can at camps in the upcoming weeks.
“It was a good camp,” Rudzik said. “It was hot out there. The coaches run things fast at the camp. Overall it was a good camp.”
Rudzik worked with Kevin Kane in the linebackers group.
“I got a chance to work with Kevin Kane,” Rudzik said. “He helped me out with my agility and getting my steps out. I got some one-on-one with him.”
He said he turned in a 4.5 time and felt he did well in the agility drills.
His next stop is Lincoln on Friday at Nebraska’s camp. He also plans on camping at Kansas State, Oklahoma, and possibly Oklahoma State.
“I’m going to hit a few combines too,” he said.
