We have all pined over what could have been this season for KU football, most of us expected KU to compete for a conference title. We definitely did not expect a 1-5 start.
However, ASU fans are going to be haunted by how this playoff game slipped out of their hands. If they maintain success and get back to the playoff sometime soon, it may not be as painful, but if they fail to reach these heights again for a significant period of time this is going to leave a horrible hangover. Had they gotten blown out, it would simply have been nice to get to the playoffs, but losing a winnable game of this significance the way they lost will leave a mark.
Hopefully HCLL and crew will put us in a position to take our chances sometime soon.
