KU will use the old grass practice fields at times this fall camp for practice.
I have a couple thoughts and neither one may be right.
1) The grass fields are much cooler than being on the turf. I mean a big difference.
2) Beaty may want to practice on the fields the teams in the 2005-2008 used when they won three bowl games to show the team those are the same fields.
3) Beaty is going to a more secluded area so team can't see what they are doing offensively. That's the old Mangino trick.
I'm thinking #3 is the less likely but like I said I don't know.
