Sports talk down here seems to think East Carolina will be and/or is involved in talks with the Big 12.
They were definitely making a decent case. Big state, proximity to WV, football team that's proved they can compete, a recent $20M expansion of the stadium to 50k seats with more additions approved, etc.
Hadn't thought about them and they're probably further down the list, but thought it was interesting.
