The usual summer decline from reduced demand not likely this summer. The European countries voluntarily entered Putin’s energy web and now try to back off by filling storage units all summer plus importing as much as the U.S. can supply. The result is International gas markets will stay high and may go higher. New drilling here will not materially impact prices as it takes about a year to get product in the pipelines headed to the east coast export terminals. Side bar: opening up E15 this summer will accomplish very little other than increase smog and reduce gas mileage in vehicles that use that fuel. Check your owners manual before using - my 2019 Honda manual and 2012 Ford 150 manual both say don’t use it because of risk of engine damage. We are caught in a mess Putin started coupled with the absolutely correct response from the U.S. and EU as well as most of the rest of the globe. Doing the right thing sometimes hurts. Putin has a Vietnam on his hands here. Some of his absurd statements about staying until goals are met even resemble equally ridiculous statements made by LBJ in the ‘60s. Rant over.
