You were right on Castro, and any school, public or private, never would any of them teach some of the good things he did. It's all about making the US look great, the others look very bad, all the time, regardless.

I'm making my kids discuss what they've learned in school when it comes to these things and I'm going to have them read Howard Zinn. For those reading this in horror, don't worry, I'll always discuss the criticisms of him and as always teach them to be objective.

Chomsky is the truth. I keep trying to find something with him to disagree with and I can't seem to find it. You can thank and Anarchist and Orwell for influencing him. Good stuff.

Amazon dumped $1.5 million in an attempt to buy the entire Seattle city council and it backfired. It united and grew the left there and energized them.

Seattle is progressive and they already have $15/hr min wage and are wanting to tax businesses more to help with the increasing homeless population thanks in part to skyrocketing real estate costs.

The labor and social justice block netted more seats.

Seattle used to be such a great city before the left ruined it with homelessness and crime.

Even with the massive incentives Amazon realized they would be overly taxed and regulated by the loonie Democrat leaders in NY.
People are moving out of poorly-run Democrat states and Amazon woke up before making a gigantic blunder.

The one democrat state people are moving out of is Illinois - and for reasons you wouldn't even be able to comprehend. Not NY, not CA.

In fact the rampant problems liberal and even progressive states have aren't because of that parties rule, their problems are flaws of capitalism.

Violent, criminal drug gangs are quite simply a for-profit business venture when not afforded education, jobs, healthcare, and investment into a community rife with neglect and greedy slum lords.

Exploding homeless populations are a direct correlation of booming real estate and gentrification.

Many of Americas problems are side effects of capitalism.

AOC also addresses people's claims that this isn't apples to apples: new office in Manhattan (people commute in NYC - Long Island is literally across the river), 1500 jobs vs 25,000 jobs (fantasy number projected over a 10-20 year period).

Bottom line: these jobs to NYC came free. No cost. No taxpayer burden. Once again, Amazon paid $0 on its billions of profits.

    *BUMP*

Reminder: Amazon decided to open up a location in NYC without public assistance/subsidy anyway.

Just in case you missed it.

Why link financial aid and food stamps to socialism? Both of those things are a part of being a capitalist country. Items provided by "the great society program" done under LBJ was and is a part of society helping the less fortunate, and not a means of making everyone except the few privileged
    financially equal.

Bezos makes $230k/minute, asks you to donate to his workers being paid unlivable wages instead of tapping into his $112B personally, or to increase wages to a livable one and still make absurd amounts of wealth per minute regardless.

This pandemic has really shown how JT’s argument that you have to reward the risk takers is BS. Look at all of the ‘risk takers’ passing off the risk to their employees. They are the real risk takers.

It’s not a risk if there’s no downside. Capitalize the gains, socialize the losses. JT loves Lemon Socialism.

Bezos is the one asking for other people’s money. He also uses my money so he can underpay his workers. You also take my money. My money is going in to your pocket.

There's obviously a difference between taking someone's money and earning it. You're smart so you understand that. Choosing to ignore it is just that...a choice.

And your anti-business mantra is exhausting. Are there bad business owners? Of course. Are they all bad? Of course not.

You log on to Amazon to buy something. Anything you can buy on Amazon you can buy elsewhere. He's earned your decision to buy from him.

    LMAO nope.

Your 45+ years of white privilege has you so clouded, moreso than normal. There are tons of necessities available on Amazon not easily accessible depending on your socioeconomic standing.

Imagine you make minimum wage and you live in an underserved community (AKA "The 'hood") which lacks investments because rich greedy people don't care to invest in your community.

You have no car, because, money. It's several blocks to public transit and getting to a Target or even a Super Market is a PITA, even when the weather is nice out.

Amazon has done a nice role in getting these people access to goods not readily available to them, and in many times, has many things not available anywhere else. But in this case, might as well be a monopoly. You can't just hop in your car and drive 5-20 minutes somewhere.

You're bound by those prices because the 'Free Market' has decided to freely cut your community out and you literally have no option. You're forced into a monopoly.

There is no decision making process. Fvck you, pay me, says the man making $230k/minute.

    edit: a letter

Imagine having not only that decked rigged against you but also the Law Enforcement deck, the banking deck, the healthcare deck, and the jobs deck all stacked against you.

This is why we kneel, this is why we protest.
