Closing the summer gap until September is always hard for me my apologies for bringing up painful memories but everyone knows the Penn State Orange Bowl 12 men on the Field, Nebraska 2 point conversion with Mason, '04 OPI Texas, Fumble vs Field Goal against Toledo, the WR pick flag against Colorado Meier/Wilson starting the '09 spiral, etc...what was a heartbreaking play for you less obvious? Or a play from an obvious game but one that people tend to forget that had big implications?
For me I can't seem to forget the dropped TD by one of my favorite players Derek Fine against Nebraska in '06 in Lincoln. Right in the bread basket 2nd quarter in a crazy 400 yard game by Barmann where we failed to score in the red zone. Fine still had a great game but our best chance to win in Lincoln in a long time lose in OT rest is history. So many what ifs that season with our scores but that one play sticks out for some reason.
