Was talking with a buddy and we discussed that without Danny, Larry may have well failed at KU. I thought it was interesting subject. Larry was not a super recruiter other than the big splash with Manning. Definitely pulled in some nice recruits like Prichard, Randall, Marvin Branch (who didn't work out) etc and inherited a great core with Thompson, Dreiling, and Kellogg but how do you guys think it would be different today?
Imagine never getting Danny and Larry failing at KU. Would be a whole different landscape for Kansas basketball today. Thoughts?
