Would Embiid be best player in nation this year?

My friend and I got in a debate today whether or not Joel Embiid would be the best player in college basketball this year if he has stayed.

I know a lot of you do not play the if game but the people that do let me know your thoughts. I was on the side that I thought he would possibly be a 1st Team AA but not necessarily the overall best player in the nation.

I figured it was worth the discussion on the board. Let me know what you guys think.
