There are a lot of thoughts on what’s best for KU, but there is only one correct answer: stay in the Big 12. Why you ask? Well let’s start at its roots. The Big 12… what is it? The Big 12 is honor. The big 12 is courage. The big 12 is class. The big 12 is home to past and future presidents on the United States, astronauts, Fortune 500 CEO’s, jake arrieta, drug lords, teachers, farmers, nfl superstars, Hollywood actors.
the first option preferably is to retain Oklahoma and Texas. This puts the Big at the second best conference behind the SEC. with those two schools as building blocks, that opens the door for a failing Nebraska to come crawling back. Putting the big 12 at 11 teams, we go after the Arizona schools. They hate the pac so they join almost immediately. With this exploiting the weakness of the pac 12 Colorado comes crawling back as well. This puts the big 12 back in three monster markets and the big 12 reclaims home field advantage at the college World Series. Sitting at 12 teams the big 12 is now one Alabama away from becoming THE premier conference in college sports.
“Now MSW, what happens if Oklahoma and Texas walk?”
great question, thank you for asking. If they decide to walk, we let them walk. We get ourselves a new girlfriend, she may be ugly, but she’s a doctor. Off the bat, the big 12 adds Houston. Houston, coming off its final 4 appearance, will be the perfect fit. We don’t have to worry about getting whooped by chris beard every year but still have a huge presence in Texas. Houston hasn’t even unlocked their full potential. With enrollment as high as theirs, in the heart of Texas, this is a gold mine waiting to explode. Plus who doesn’t like taking home a cougar? The second addition is boise state. The future of expansion is west and what’s a better addition than a northwest school that beat our own Oklahoma in the fiesta bowl? This gets our foot in the door and if someone prettier comes along, such as Washington, we break up with noise state and get Washington. In the meantime, Boise is a ginormous sports market waiting to blow the top off. The premier school in the premier, unmined state of Idaho is exactly what the big 12 needs. Icing on the cake for Boise state is the fact that the university of idaho got bumped to FCS a couple years back making boise THE school in idaho. With the booming cities of boise and cour de lane, the population of Idaho has been booming the last 20 years.
“sounds great so far MSW, but what’s the path back to 12 teams?”
Another great question, but the answer is simple and it starts with geography. To get back to 12 we start building a path to (previously mentioned) unmined Idaho. The best way to do that is working back from Idaho and starting with he university of Wyoming. Another flagship school in their state. Nestled in the plains of Wyoming, this gives us a great path to Idaho. Wyoming, who 100 years who use to be literally gold mind, is another sports market gold mine. An top of owning another states entire marketing, Wyoming has a big population of alumni and fans in Denver. This brings me to my next addition, Colorado. With Wyoming starting to take over Denver and the pac 12 on the verge of collapsing, Colorado decides it needs to reclaim Denver, this rejoining the big 12.
while we’re waiting for the pac 12 to implode, we start taking over more states. First is Montana, with the connections the big 12 has built out west, this is a no brainer. Once again taking over an entire states market plus their grizzlies. No one want to **** with a grizzly. Next in the list is North Dakota state. Their football history speaks for itself. It’s another case of state domination, however with ndsu in the big 12, this also Includes a take over of South Dakota as well.
so there you have it, 4 teams, 5 states. I rest my case.
