Noting that it is possible to get both of these options, let's assume for this hypothetical situation you have to choose one over the other.

Option 1 - two WRs get 1,000 plus yards receiving on the season

Option 2 - four WRs get 500 plus yards receiving on the season

With Option 1, you can't help but think back to the Briscoe and Meier's years and how awesome that was - two guys like that can carry your offense. With Option 2, I searched an online database with KU football stats back to 1956 and assuming that has correct data there has never been a season where KU has had four WRs get 500+ yards in a season (we were close in 2003), so it would be a record breaking season of sorts if that were to happen.

To be honest, I would take either situation and be happy as hell. If either one of these two things happen this upcoming season, my optimism for the offense goes through the roof for the next couple of years. But if I have to choose one, I would go with Option 2. I was looking at Cal's offense and they had four WRs with receiving yards between 500 and 700 yards. That offense was rolling in Year 2 there. So I go with it some because I hope we can mimic what Cal has done with Sonny Dykes taking over that team, but also think that getting four WRs with that yardage would be great for the future as we only have one senior on the team playing WR that will get a lot of minutes, so it would men next year we return at least three guys who had 500+ yards receiving from the previous year...
