Obviously we're in the middle of the Big 12 grind for THIS year, but I was watching the videos of our recruits in the "KU commits" thread and was curious what other people thought. In a vacuum, I would choose David McCormack.
I feel like this dude is going to be one of the best centers, if not the best, Self has had at KU. He's already so strong for being a senior in high school, and when you pair him up with Hudy and a college nutrition/strength program, he's going to turn into an absolute monster, quickly.
I really think he has a chance of taking Dok's starting spot by the end of the year, and I'm not taking anything away from Dok. I think McCormack will be one of the few exceptions to the rule of "Self doesn't play freshman big men".
Don't get me wrong, I'm pumped for all of the new guys next year, but I am extremely high on McCormack.
