Now Doherty is a little bit bigger and maybe a little bit more versatile, but their running style is very similar. They are both guys that I think could play RB, but have more potential at safety. Looking at their stats last year:
Byrd's stats: 100 carries for 868 yards (8.7 ypc) and 13 TDs
Doherty's stats: 117 carries for 810 yards (6.9 ypc) and 12 TDs
Again, pretty similar. I do think Doherty has a higher upside, but think these guys are similar prospects in terms of both how they play and where they project
