Any general thoughts about the league or a specific team this year?
I think Oklahoma should win this league fairly decisively this year. If they can handle their out of conference schedule with Ohio State and Houston, think they should be the #1 team in the nation heading into the playoff this year.
West Virginia is a team that I think is the biggest darkhorse in the league. I know they lose a talented RB and some talented DBs, but think Shell can replace Smallwood at RB and they brought in some pretty solid JUCO DBs that I think can play for them right away. Think it will be between them and OkSU for second place in the league.
Baylor is going to be a really interesting team to watch this year. They do return some talented guys, but there is so much going on within that program, I can't help but wonder if they face some adversity and completely crumble. I think back to KU losing 7 games in a row with Reesing/Meier/Briscoe/Stuckey/etc on the team - think we could see a similar collapse from them this year.
I am also interested to see how Tech does this year. Might be one of the funner teams to watch this year if you like offense. I think Kingsbury has his system in place and has a great QB running his system, so they will score...but the defense is going to have to take a big step forward for them to improve.
