Over the last 2-3 days I was getting info the Michigan State side claimed KU went so high on NIL they couldn’t match it.
One source said last weekend KU bumped the NIL amount five times until others couldn’t play the game. I had one person say KU front-loaded so much money it was untouchable for other schools.
Well, I am connected enough to say that is all inaccurate. I guarantee KU did not play that game.
They haven’t paid one cent. And by the time the judge signs the new deal the front-loading is about to end any way.
The fact is the KU staff did a great job recruiting Amachree and had different angles from Samuel knowing the family to Wallace being involved. From things I heard if Michigan State wanted to win the NIL battle they could have.
This was a situation everyone was close and Amachree went where he felt more comfortable and what he saw was the best situation.
